Strategy:
Turn 1:
Forest
+
Blisterpod
T2: Forest + Deathcap Cultivator or
Leaf Gilder
T3:
Forest
+ Shaman of Forgotten Ways or
Nissa's Pilgrimage
T4: Forest + 2 of Hedron Archive or Shaman of Forgotten Ways
T5:
Forest
+ Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger!
Try to go second, unless your opponent has a deck based on the first turn. The above actions is what you're aiming for. It is the ideal scenario; it will not happen even close to every time.
Attack with
Blisterpod
every turn - try to kill it for the Scion. You may have noticed that if you get the above (with the Scion), you will end up with 14 mana on Turn 5! That's more than enough to cast Ulamog!
Rules Stuff:
Watch out for the Legend Rule! If you aren't careful, you may end up with 2 Ulamog's on the battlefield at the same time(temporarily).
On that note, a couple cards in this deck have the text "When you cast [this spell], ..." I have run into many situations where someone plays something in response to Ulamog or Oblivion Sower - usually a Counter spell - and neither of us know how to resolve it. I found this Q/A by Trumbone and
Epochalyptik which I believe clears this up. Essentially the ability doesn't care whether the card resolves or not; it still happens.
Endgame Combo: Oblivion Sower + Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger
. Attack with Ulamog and exile everything. Then play Oblivion Sower in End Step. Assuming you exiled lands, they go right to your battlefield, and you can play more stuff. Shamble Back is useful for exiling a Creature Land and taking it.
