I Would try adding lands such as shrine of the forsaken gods and sanctum of ugin.

Shrine of the forsaken gods gives you 2 mana for colourless spells when you control 7 lands.Sanctum of ugin can tutor for cards when you cast a spell 7 or greater to help get an ulamog out.

I would ditch the desolate twins for ugins (should you run into trouble or have to chump block early on, Ugins lower cost helps get him out and then you can start wreaking havoc).

Consider playing explosive vegetation x4 (instead of from beyond), 4 mana for two lands straight to the battlefield.

I would play oblivion sower over conduit of ruin (or perhaps 2 of each), as sower is better for ramp, although conduit of ruin has that tutor ability, however most of the time if you have play sets of both ugin and ulamog you're very likely to have one of them by turn 5.

Try Karametra's Acolyte for modern ramp. I have a whole mono-green ramp deck so you can see some good cards. The Ramp to Victory

rjphilla Obviously you have not read the description. I am currently working on bringing the deck back to modern legality.

Maybe instead of quicksilver amulet try using elvish piper she is a and has play any creature card from your hand. Also birds of paradise is a great mana card for .

Added ocary13. I can see a turn 3/4 using her.

I ran a deck like this once that could get ulamog out turn 4, the ramp was insane. try Cryptolith Rite ramp. Mine usually could get ulamog turn 6 or 7 consistently.

While Cryptolith Rite is a pretty good card, each creature can only once, and most of the cards in this deck are ramp already.

silversableye says... #15

that's understandable. but with Cryptolith Rite you can tap and sac scions. and then you also don't have to wait for blisterpod to die for it to become a mana source.

coming from a friend that has had more experience in the metagame, and if you want to play more competitively it is worth it to pay another 30 bucks for a deck more like this: $uper 'drazi. if yo dont like this peticular build here is a website that has a ton of decks you can look at for modern, legacy, vintage, and standard. including a some ramp decks that are doing well in big tournaments: www.mtgtop8.com/format?f=ST. if you are only looking to play casual i completely understand but if you want to play competitively, please, please look into this.

Oblivion sower after Ulamog does sound powerful. How does he play if he comes out prior to? I am trying to put an eldrazi deck together that isn't so Ulamog-centric and been on the cusp about adding in the sower.

And I appreciate your explanations for the deck instead of appeals to authority like the last comment.

@sitri_: I actually had that scenario yesterday, so I can answer! With the ramp, Oblivion Sower can come out on turn 4 or 5. As a 5/8, Sower is pretty big, so it can block a lot of creatures. I added a rules note about casting because I found it to be useful with both Ulamog and the Sower.

@hamesame: Yeah, that happens a lot. People see that you'll get another mana, and they'll just let it through. If that happens, at least you're dealing damage!

If you find a way to add soul separator, you can separate him from the graveyard and then have a flying indestructible 1/1 spirit ulamog that mils 20, and also the 10/10 zombie husk of him. :)

@DraceRawlings Will look into that! I haven't updated for EMN yet, but it's been Maybeboarded!

Also if you add sanctum of ugin, you'll be able to bring another ulamog to your hand just in case your opponent has some type of removal or counter spell for the first one
