Not wanting to be rude, but it's horribly inconsistent. You need a god hand to ramp towards 9 mana in turn 4. How big are those odds? 1 in 20?

What if someone is going to use a Spell Queller to trap your ramp? Or is going to Murder your shamans? Or when he knows what you're up to, that he's going to Transgress the Mind your coinduit of ruin/ulamog in your hand? Or use Declaration in Stone to get rid of ALL your shamans at once?

Also, don't rely on your blisterpod suicide. When someone sees a blisterpod, they know what you're up to. And for that single point of damage, that's not worth the scion exchange for the opponent, so they'll just let that blisterpod pass.

@Uri I'm not sure what you're referring to on Turn 4, but this is not a counter deck. It does its own thing while your opponent does his. Yes, it's pretty crappy against full-on counter decks, but it's not built for that. That's why you have multiple decks. The Blisterpod is only an extra mana; with the optimal hand you have 4 extra mana on Turn 5.

@rivermont, the title was long already changed after I posted. It used to say being a turn-4 ulamog deck.

Elvish Mystic/Llanowar Elves are strictly better Leaf Gilders.

@verynice47 Yeah, until recently it was a Standard deck, but I had to change it. I'm working on a better version for Modern, but there are better cards than Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger out there.

You really are making too many assumptions here. Unless you're playing against someone brand new, they'll let your blisterpod live and it's not like you have to play against a full counter deck to get screwed over. All it takes is someone having one set of a counterspell in their deck and they'll be able to get it more consistently than you'll be able to play ulamog.
