Heya.
Ive been looking around on the different mill decks on the site. This is my version of a Dimir mill deck. I might add that before Theros rotation I played with ducttapedeckbox deck Perfection of Milling at a couple of FNM. Since he haven't updated his deck I gave it a shot. The reason why I updated it is, that playing a working milling deck have given me the most fun I have had in a long time playing Magic.
The idea is pretty simple. Mill your opponent until you win. One of the things I have added is Cremate Duress Dissolve and Temple of Deceit. I always find myself in doubts when to mill and when not to, but when I play with these cards it gives me vision of what's to come, both in his hand and my top draw.
I know Watery Grave is a must but still working on getting them. But if you got them, of course they should go into the deck.
When I played with a large Consuming Aberration it was always blocked with a small creature so I always ended up with it as a defensive creature, and waiting for my milling to finish them. Therefore I've added Rogue's Passage to make Consuming Aberration absolute lethal. I have played with the thought of adding Thassa, God of the Sea simply for that reason + the scry.
Though I like AEtherling's alot its one of the first things I sideboard out when playing against creature heavy decks. There I sideboard in my Wight of Precinct Six and if they got big bad creatures Lazav, Dimir Mastermind - had him becoming a unblock able Kalonian Hydra a couple of times which my opponent weren't happy with.
What else. Oh yeah I still want to add 1 more of each plains walker but kinda need the cash for it. Ashiok, Nightmare Weave Is brutal combined with removal. Also a big fan of Jace, Memory Adept, even though he is kinda expensive he is worth it. Getting end game having him out and a Consuming Aberration is lethal. Playing Breaking / Entering mills 8 cards + till he finds a land + 10 for jayce is often enough to get close to the finish line.
Oh and finally I added Death's Approach, with all the indestructible gods coming, this handle it nicely. Or if you can use Far / Away and make your opponent sack it, it spreads true joy.
Looking forward for your comments!
