Awesome. +1 The only concern i had with it was getting the pieces to the puzzle: Blistercoil Weird , Paradise Mantle , and Grapeshot . But you have alot of draw and search, so i imagine it doesn't take long to come across what you need.

You kinda need the mantle and the weird and a land in your starting hand, but thats about it. It's not 100% consistent, but it's alot of fun!

This deck is called Weirdstorm and was designed by Masatomo Iwayama, as presented in this Wizards article.

Please cite the deck builder.

It's cited in the description if you read the last line.

I did state that in the description. This is just my take on it.

http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/win-turn-1/ my friend came up with this. the ability to win early reminded me of it.

You need 4x grapeshot if that's your wincon. Also, you DEFINITELY need more lands

April 3, 2013 6:06 a.m.

Stillabris says... #18

The thing is, if it goes correctly, i only need one land on turn one. Then i'll draw into another land turn two. Then either grapeshot or hit for 20. Since 90% of the deck cantrips it's okay.

I play this deck, however mines slightly different. I have 3X Ideas Unbound and another land instead of Aphotic Wisps and Peek instead of quicken, becuase i found that quicken did nothing. Also have fancier mana base but meh. Main issue i have is dodging removal, so i have a full playset of Apostle's Blessing and Spell Pierce in the sb.

That sound good. Sideboarding will be crucial with this deck.

Love this deck, I have started building Gavin Verhey's version, might be worth taking a look at the reconstructed article, the link is in the description here Weird Modern Cantrips

Take out Quicken for Crimson Wisps , can get you a turn one win

April 3, 2013 5:59 p.m.

parasitian says... #24

wait no it can't, but it does allow you to play the blistercoil on turn two if you want to

April 3, 2013 6 p.m.

Stillabris says... #25

That is a pretty good idea, but i probably wouldn't keep a hand without a weird. Bit i'll think about it!
