Yes, Force of Savagery could be interesting in this deck. Thanks for the advice. That makes me think that some of the creatures with the "Echo" ability might be handy in here too.

What about card:Death's Presence? Almost the same ability as Kresh has. And Corpsejack Menace is like a card made for this deck.

jorjo10 that is a great suggestion! I wasn't even aware of Corpsejack Menace . I will be on the lookout for one to add to my deck. Thanks!

Braids, Cabal Minion ? I mean, if you are normally okay with your stuff dieing, Braids is awesome.
You may want to consider Treasured Find for getting some of your stuff back.

Amaterasu3531 Yes, I keep throwing around the idea of putting Braids, Cabal Minion in the deck, but frankly she scares me and I'm afraid she would do more harm than good. I should bite the bullet and at least play test it with that card in here just to see how it plays out. Thanks for the suggestions and taking a look!

you know i think Liliana of the Veil with her sac generator would do wonders in this. and maybe even Vraska the Unseen would be easy to build her up especialy knowing that poeple will really fear attacking her for not only the death of the creature but powering your Kresh the Bloodbraided

I feel like the mana instants aren't really doing much for you in the deck so I'd cut Cabal Ritual and Dark Ritual . Things like Reaper from the Abyss and Fleshbag Marauder are great creatures that go towards your theme. card:Ashnod's Altar is the best sacrifice outlet around for when you want to get that last bit of power on Kresh or that last bit of damage with Stalking Vengeance. Overwhelming Stampede is a great way to wipe a table with a oversize Kresh. If you like those suggestions just check out my deck Kresh Beats Your Face

Lightning Greaves or Whispersilk Cloak for shrouded Kresh?
March 2, 2013 10:56 a.m.
Matticus90 thanks for the feedback, I agree that the instants weren't helping as much as I would like. I may end up dropping one of them, but a big issue for this deck in earlier iterations is that it was really slow. I've dropped the mana curve quite a bit recently and I think that the rituals are just vestiges of that older build and can now be removed. Ashnod's Altar is definitely going on the wish list along with Reaper from the Abyss and Fleshbag Marauder.
Kygehn thanks also for the advice. I think i'll try trading out the Mask of Avacyn for a Whispersilk Cloak. An unblockable Kresh could be just plain ridiculous.

No problem, I'd recommend the Darksteel original printing of Whispersilk Cloak or the Tenth Edition, they both look quite badass.

I would recommend Doubling Season since you have counters and tokens.

Sol Ring is best one-drop ever, with possibly the exception of Sensei's Divining Top

Awright. Good to see someone working with Kresh. This helped me pick out a few additions for my deck. Decimate Is one I didn't know about before. Overwhelming Stampede I knew, but wasn't something I considered. Its obviously going in my deck.
However...you aren't taking advantage of all Kresh offers.A few of your cards aren't quite up to par. Demonlord of Ashmouth , Dreg Mangler , and Deathbringer Thoctar seem to be the worst of the lot, but...theres definitely room for improvement.
I don't quite have time to list all the stuff that you can use, but I can give you some places to look.
Evoke: Just search the term evoke in Gatherer, and you'll find plenty of creatures that'll help you out. They're good because they pull double duty. You can use them as creatures, or as spells. In addition, using them as spells still makes them combo with Kresh, who LOVES that they sac themselves.
Also worth considering is Fleshwrither . He's the equivalent of a search spell for four drop creatures. You've already got a decent number of powerful four drops in your deck. This'll let you pull stuff out while still pumping Kresh.
Viscera Seer Might be worth looking at too. He's an easy sac outlet that lets you filter your spells.
In addition, it may be useful to grab Doomed Necromancer .
Bloodshot Cyclops (Look for it on gatherer. This site doesn't have it listed)and Phyrexian Plaguelord are my final suggestions. Both act as reusable Fling s.
...I lied. One more. Soulblast : This card is a fling for your entire team. Its instant speed, so its good for when bombs are about to go out.
Theres other stuff out there, but I'm tired and lazy, so I'll leave that for you to figure out. By the way. Gatherer has a random card search button. Put it to use. You discover powerful things.
Finally, some general theory for Kresh decks. Your goal is destruction. You want two things. High Power Creatures (Low power doesn't help Kresh out much when they die) and Kill spells. The more things dying, the better.
Kresh is very weak to removal. Its heartbreaking when he dies. So things to protect him are always worthwhile.

Distuth thanks for the comment, I will definitely look into the evoke stuff to see how it will fit. I just added Fleshwrither to my wishlist. I'm hoping to grab a Hell's Caretaker instead of Doomed Necromancer so I can continue to use the return from graveyard text. And I definitely need to add some commander protection because poor Kresh continually gets toasted when I get him into play.

Kresh Protection: Darksteel Plate Whispersilk Cloak Lightning Greaves Champion's Helm Eldrazi Monument Shield of Kaldra That Which Was Taken Mask of Avacyn General's Kabuto Cloak and Dagger . The gatherer is a very handy tool for EDH. I'm also working on a Kresh build atm and am only running a few of these. you can pick and choose from here. ANYTHING THAT MAKES KRESH INDESTRUCTIBLE IS HUGE. Hexproof and shroud are nice but don't help against board clears, and trust me, I know all about that nonsense as my buddy is playing a Esper EDH and has about 6 board clears in there, 2 of which he cast on me in the same turn because I regen'd with Golgari Charm in response to the first one. You need solid mana search like Rampant Growth or Farseek . also, look at Flesh / Blood . Blood is a better version of fling. and if you can cast both it can sometimes be enough commander damage to finish the game.
