The idea is to capitalize on the Meekstone, as all the creatures in this deck have either power 2 or less, or have vigilance.

Things like Living Armor can make creatures more durable, without setting off the Meekstone effect. For extra power, Runesword creates a temporary boost that avoids the Meekstone penalty, since it only lasts until end of turn.

Royal Assassin provides most of the kill power of the deck. Combine with Word of Binding to kill the creature of yor choice, or use in conjunction with Barl's Cage to keep them tapped down.

Various types of protection should allow at least some creatures to be immune to the opponent's own kill methods.

Living Armor is probably this deck's best defense against burn spells like Lightning Bolt and Tracker effects. The again, Knights of Thorn should not have to worry about red burn.
