WIP Modern Elf deck, based vaguely on primer, except I'm splashing black instead of white:

I'm interested in any thoughts on Talara's Battalion s or Myr Superion . Superion could come down on turn 2 off a Heritage Druid , and can profitably block Eldrazi threats while the Elfball powers up.

I'm not terribly experienced in modern, so my sideboard answers are a work in progress.

My deck had its first outing to a local qualifier for a national MTG tournament. I was the first seed going into playoffs being the only player to have won every round, but got elimitated in the playoffs by Kiki-Chord, ultimately achieving 3rd place.
