Bitterblossom, the unbanned engine and powerhouse of the deck. Playing without one can be an uphill battle, but after sticking one turn 2, it's hard to lose.

Vendilion Clique is, well, Vendilion Clique. Only in this deck the faerie subtype matters, so they're even better! Tears hands apart and hits hard.

Mutavault is amazing here, especially as it can turn itself into a faerie for Spellstutter Sprite and Mistbind Clique.

Spellstutter Sprite is frequently just a 2cmc hard counter with a 1/1 flash flier tacked on. All aboard the train to value town!

Scion of Oona makes all the faeries scarier, especially the sprites and Bitterblossom tokens. Also, instant speed shroud protection for a blossom, mistbind or vendilion is nothing to sneeze at.

Mistbind Clique is fat as hell and can really shut the opponent down killing their game flow and tempo.

River of Tears is great in a deck like this as most of the black spells are sorcery speed. Black on turn 1 for Thoughtseize, and comes in untapped on turn 4 tapping for blue in the opponent's turn.

Snapcaster Mage for pure value and utility. It's Snapcaster Mage.

I prefer Remand to other 2cmc counter's I have tried, because this is a tempo deck at heart, and the fact that it replaces itself means that it isn't dead late game, and can help me hit my early land drops. One of the reasons I can justify 25 lands over 26.

Constantly altering my removal, landbase, and numbers of snapcasters and vendilion cliques.

Simic Charm, Abrupt Decay, Lightning Bolt, Restoration Angel, Cloudshift, Path to Exile and Electrolyze make me consider splashes, but I think straight BU is the way to go.
