Both Portent of Betrayal and March of the Returned were in the sideboard I first used for this deck. Portent is great when I know they are running big creatures because I can hit them with their own guy then sac it to deal damage, and its dead! Its a nice combo. But I seemed to be sacrificing tokens more than my own actual creatures, I never seemed to need March. Though its good if they have heavy creature counters. I big problem I seem to have is the deck petering out early with all these one drops. Someone suggested I try throwing Young Pyromancer in there, and I think Tormented heroes would be perfect to take out for them.

something funny about tymaret, you can sacrifice him to his second ability, and then return him to your hand, thus letting him dodge all removal

Tymaret needs to be in the graveyard in order to activate the second ability.

As the deck is now, I don't think I have enough humans for Xathrid Necromancer to work with it as a whole. However, I have some cards ordered that may or may not change his effectiveness in this deck. I'll update it as soon as I get the cards.

I like this deck, but I think you should drop the akroan crusaders

Everyone keeps telling me that. What do you suggest swapping them with?

If you're going for rakdos aggro, look no further than Spike Jester

I won't lie, I thought I saw Akroan Horse in the decklist at first, mistook it for the crusader. But now that I think about it, it wouldn't be terrible here. Free creature every upkeep for sacrifice sounds pretty sweet. I don't think Tormented Hero would be good here because he doesn't fit the theme of your deck. You want to have as many creatures to be able to sacrifice as possible, and his heroic trigger doesn't support that, which is why the crusader does. Effects like Portent of Betrayal (steal your opponent's creatures) are really strong with Tymaret, so maybe consider those. I would also recommend effects like March of the Returned as a way to bring back creatures you lose from Tymaret's ability (never use this on Tymaret, always use his built in recursion)
