If you match up against fast combo just scoop because you've already lost.

Use creatures that sac themselves for land like Sakura-Tribe Elder (Genestealer cults), Eldrazi spawns / scions ('gaunts) or just tutor for Gaea's Cradle (Eldrazi Spawning Beds) to ramp. Small Eldrazi spawners are 'gaunts, bigger ones are Warriors, and the biggest are Carnifex. Utility creatures are Zoanthropes, Biovores, Lictors etc. "Whenever an opponent casts a spell add a +1/+1 counter" effects are typically Rippers. Emrakul, the Promised End is a Hive Ship with the retro art and can be tutored with From Beyond. Caldera Hellion has devour and thus is much more flavorful than the Red Terror we got in the deck. Much of the Tyranid choices are based off the army I had when I was 16, and thus most are nostalgia choices.

The Swarmlord's ability to draw off buffed creatures deaths is actually really solid. Add that to "residual draw" from stuff like Temur Ascendancy and Bred for the Hunt and you can keep making land drops and keep casting creatures, gaining consistent, resilient board presence.
