MinscAndBoo thanks so much yeah its proving to be pretty fun so far. Few opponents just straight up leaving after game 1 on untap.

How do you feel about Mind Bend on the side against mono-color? You could sub out the Sea's Claim for them, maybe sub-out Quicksilver Fountain for more Choke.

Ruffigan i really like Mind Bend super neat in here it could nearly serve as a replacement for Sea's Claim mainboard as it flips delver though not tutorable... hmmm. also yeah if I'm playing simply more Choke could be a strong train of thought.

Scorprix what do you thin of the transformative sideboard?

Well, I'm glad to not be the only one working on this sort of nonsense! My own deck is a bit more... violent? But we are following the same path to victory, friend!

I like it, but I think it would just be much better to just use the Merfolk mainboard and have a real sideboard.

I would put Celestial Colonnade in the manabase. It serve's its purpose as U/W production and it can serve as a wincon.

Now regarding Dr_Jay's concern against aggro, some things to test out would be Porphyry Nodes or Root Maze. I've seen more enchantment/low creature count builds with Nodes in it and it worked well so maybe it could find a home here even with creatures? and Root Maze could be decent SB tech

Sir_Muffins, you GENIUS. Root Maze + Choke = They never get a turn to even tap their lands!

I may be wrong, but for a finisher If you're able to stall your opponent long enough Kiora, the Crashing Wave seems like a pretty good card that would fit nicely in this deck

This deck is very similar to the Spread Em deck that was present on MTGO a while back but the inclusion of Quicksilver Fountain is a nice touch. Copy Enchantment could be useful in the deck if you come up short on multiples of island making enchantments. Ghostly Prison is great for stalling, especially against splinter twin, which is really big in modern right now.

deforestj8565 awesome suggestion ill have to check out spread em' sounds like my speed I've been playing since theros and got into modern around fate reforged. I may add a copy of Ghostly Prison main board as it can get oppressive with the amount of land hate going on. Thank you so much for your help and support with this. Agreed Quicksilver Fountain is super fun and makes for interesting games.

This is the coolest deck i've seen this year.

I might do an experiment with this deck except change out Delver of Secrets  Flip for Hex Parasite who can eat the counters off my lands. Mwahahahahh!

Urban Burgeoning T2 seems like a great way to leave counterspell mana available and the land still usefull after Choke.

I'm wondering why you only run 1x of Choke, the main reason for this deck to exist. You should really run 4x of Choke, since it shuts down your opponents. In a similar vein, you should really run 4 of the main island-making cards Sea's Claim and especially Spreading Seas. These changes will make your deck much stronger. You also run enough instants or sorceries that you'll only flip delver one-third of the time. A dedicated delver deck should be running 30+ instants or sorceries with enough deck manipulation to help. I would recommend dropping the delvers from this deck. I would recommend adding in Sigil of the Empty Throne as another win con and value engine for this deck, since it usually can't be dealt with game one. Good job with the deck.

OpenFire valid points and thanks for the support! Ive not had issues with flipping delver honestly but it does succumb often to cheap target removal. Ive swapped the for GoST and another Quirion Dryad as its growth can quickly become staggering though the dryad can meet the same fate as delver it can quickly grow in strength to where its a must answer clock allowing my opponent can fumble and turn his focus to removing the dryad before she's out of hand. Multiple chokes and spreading sea's etc felt redundant to me often having a choke on field and in hand just left me to wonder if i should run more tutors for the lock pieces. Idyllic Tutor really brought the consistency I needed. I'll give Sigil of the Empty Throne a few games and see how it feels thank you so much again for your interest and response!

hateindigital I misread Hex Parasite. I thought I could just pay 2 life to remove a counter but you have to also pay at least . I think it's still possible but not in the way I originally intended.

NotaNetDeck says... #25

This deck looks awesome hateindigital... However, there are some strategies (i.e. Affinity) that hardly rely on lands. I don't know how much testing you've done, but can this deck beat them? If not, you may want to rework the sideboard.
