When the Magic-League had their first big Standard tournament with Mirrodin Besieged cards, the tournament was won by a Blue/Black Shape Anew deck piloted by one of the best players on the site. The deck is similar to the Polymorph deck from a previous Standard season. Instead of Iona or Emrakul, the finisher of choice is Blightsteel Colossus from Mirrodin Besieged. Here is the list as well as some analysis on the cards.

Decklist Analysis
The deck operates as a combo/control deck. The combo is casting Shape Anew on one of the artifacts to get out an early Blightsteel Colossus. There are only four artifacts to target with Shape Anew (1 Everflowing Chalice and 3 Inkmoth Nexus) but there are 4 card:Trinket Mages that can fetch Everflowing Chalice.Blightsteel Colossus is difficult to deal with because it is indestructible. It can kill in one attack if your opponent has no blockers. Also, your opponent cant afford to chump block many times since it has trample.
The deck has 2 Inquisition of Kozilek and 3 Duress to protect the combo. The 4 Mana Leak and 2 Go for the Throat are good early spells to slow down your opponent so you have time to set up the combo. There is a lot of card draw and manipulation to find the cards you need. Preordain may be better as a combo enabler than a control card since it can dig in your library to find that last combo piece. See Beyond is insurance in case you draw Blightsteel Colossus.Jace Beleren is great because it stops other Jaces especially Jace, the Mind Sculptor, which is one of the few good answers to Blightsteel Colossus. Jace, the Mind Sculptor is a staple, of course. Along with being a card draw machine and a win condition, like See Beyond it can put Blightsteel Colossus back in your library if you happen to draw it.
One thing I like about this deck is it can function as a control deck. If the combo gets disrupted or you dont draw Shape Anew, you can still win with Jace, the Mind Sculptor and Grave Titan. This deck is not a combo deck that has to win quickly. It can slow down and control the game until you draw all your combo pieces or take over the game with Grave Titan or Jace, the Mind Sculptor.I could even see instances where you just win with the manlands, Creeping Tar Pit and Inkmoth Nexus. Inkmoth Nexus is an interesting card. It doesnt kill as fast as Creeping Tar Pit but it doesnt need as much mana to activate, which helps if you need mana up to counter a spell or cast something like Jace. Plus, it dodges Go for the Throat, which is sure to be a popular removal spell.
Shape Anew looks a strong archetype. It attacks from multiple angles so it can be hard to play against. Time will tell if the deck will be a major player in the metagame, but for now, it looks like a contender.
