I'm relatively new to building decks in MTG. I've always been interested in building a control deck, but due to my lack of experience I doubt it's anything substantial. I'm not looking for a destructive, hyper-competitive spike deck, I just want an interesting, focused deck I can have fun with my friends using.
The way I see it, the main game plan for this deck is to stall out your opponent early game with removal and counterspells. Meanwhile, you use many draw spells to gain some of the stronger late-game creatures and Jace, Memory Adept. From there, it's all about gaining card advantage and taking down opponents.
One thing I worry is that this deck isn't focused enough. I feel a little split between focusing on making my opponent discarding cards and getting my own powerful cards. If this is a problem, I'd love some help fixing it and streamlining my deck.
Finally, my main goal is fun, so I'm not interested in spending a ton of money on this deck. The price range it's at right now is generally what I'm looking for, but I suppose I could go $5 or so above. So, we're looking at a deck on the cheaper side of things.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you can help, be sure to leave a comment, because I'd love the support.
