So this is my take on what I think would be an effective control deck in standard. I want to make something a little more competitive than I usually do. With the release of Thing in the Ice   and Startled Awake   (I know it's not even in this deck lol) I saw a potential for blue to rise to the top again. U/R/W seemed to dominate the last standard block but I think U/B/W can do some real damage here.

So onto the deck. It aim to control the board from a very early start, and when the time is right either unleash our Sorin, Grim Nemesis, flip our Thing in the Ice  , or cast our Rise from the Tides. I like to think of this deck as a snowball and it just builds and builds until it cannot be contained or controlled.

So leave some feedback or comments! I will be trying this build I have up right now at the next FNM so I will make sure to post results!

EDIT:

Rise from the Tides turn out to be kind of a flop but decided to keep 1 in as a late game kind of threat to go wide quick. This is the set list I will be using at the FNM on 15 APR and if I place well enough I'll consider Sundays GPT. Lets see what some Esper control can do!

I was thinking of maybe putting in 2 Thought-Knot Seer. Any suggestions?
