This is my take on the control variation of blue/black faerie tempo. The goal of this deck is to use control spells and Bitterblossom tokens to dictate the flow of the game and win through creature damage.
Turn One you usually want to play Inquisition of Kozilek or Thoughtseize to gain information on the enemy's hand and hopefully slowdown their strategy. Fatal Push is very strong if you go second.
Turn Two you really want a Bitterblossom or a Cunning Nightbonder. Bitterblossom is the main source of tempo and the earlier it comes out the better. Be careful of Bitterblossom damage over time, remember you can use Mistbind Clique to champion it later on. Nightbonder is a new addition to the deck but smooths out your midgame. If you don't get either of those then focus on control here. There are plenty of removal and counter options like Brazen Borrower or Counterspell
Turn Three you either want Slitherwisp or you want to focus on controlling your opponent. Again Counterspell, Spellstutter Sprite, Brazen Borrower, Vendilion Clique, and Snapcaster Mage flashbacks are all ways to do this. If you do get Slitherwisp it will help keep you gassed up while doing chip damage. If you have creatures on board at this point you can look for attack opportunities, but you usually want to hold them back for blocking.
Turn Four you have access to all your options. If you have a Bitterblossom or two, you can focus on control. If you have a Slitherwisp you can look to cast something for the draw. If you draw him, Jace, the Mind Sculptor is a great option to continue generating advantage, but waiting a turn to keep some mana up should be considered. Mistbind Clique is powerful here to stall your opponent's turn, just make sure to cast on their upkeep.
Field of Ruin can Be used to take your opponents off the land they need. Riptide Laboratory can get you additional ETB's from Snapcaster Mage, Spellstutter Sprite, Vendilion Clique, and Mistbind Clique. Vendilion clique is very versitile and used to be very strong, It can be a psuedo-thoughtsieze, a personal draw off of a self-cast, or it can flash-block for a trade. Mistbind Clique should be used to save yourself from Bitterblossom and should be cast during your opponents upkeep. Hall of the Storm Giants and Mutavault can be creatures if you need them and Mutavault specifically can count as an additional faerie for Spellstutter Sprite.
Thinking of Spell Snare, Cryptic Command, Fallen Shinobi, Creeping Tar Pit.
Smuggler's Copters and Sword of Feast and Famine used to be in the deck to increase the strength of the tokens. Then that role was kind of filled by Fallen Shinobi. Oona's Blackguard is creature I think could accomplish that goal, but I think it works better in the creature variation of Faerie Tempo. Liliana of the Veil was in here as a two-of for a while but always felt a little weak. I have it on the maybeboard in case someone has a tip that makes it more relevant. The current number of removal spells is also something i've been playing with. Creeping Tar Pit used to be strong in here but i'm trying Hall of the Storm Giants because it can come out on turn one and two untapped.
Sideboard Tips would also be appreciated.
