Revisiting the Hidetsugu and Kairi combo setup. I don't want to push into red for Explosive Singularity as the trendy 1-turn kill payoff, since I figure you should be able to put yourself into an inevitable win condition with just Breach the Multiverse chaining Kairi combos even if it isn't a 1-turn kill.

But building the deck to curve nicely into the combo never felt good. There have been some decks lately playing with new toys like Caustic Bronco and Insatiable Avarice and maybe stuff like that make the combo setup better.

Like the goal is to get Kairi down and push a Breach onto the top of the library. Then get a second Kairi into play (possibly via Likeness Looter). Legend rule kicks in, then Kairi trigger makes Breach deal 7 damage then cast Breach, returning second Kairi to play, push something onto the top of library (ideally Breach or Push / Pull), legend rule kicks in, Kairi triggers again, loop that.

Insatiable Avarice helps find a combo piece, especially pushing it on top of the library. Sometimes the draw three mode is relevant too, either for yourself to get more cards in hand or to finish off an opponent who got hit with the combo chain but not quite all the way.

With Avarice something like Micromancer adds consistency. With Micromancer then March of Wretched Sorrow has a lot of synergy. It can kill off a Kairi as a last resort when you have a good topdeck set up. The lifegain comes in handy for some black cards that can trade life for advantage like Caustic Bronco. Avarice sets up the Bronco like it sets up Kairi. Micromancer saddles the Bronco easily. Looter copying Bronco gives it flying.

Another toy is Greed's Gambit. It's another death outlet for the Kairi. The bats can do saddle duty. The card draw digs for combo pieces. And with Coveted Falcon you have an out for giving the opponent the punishing part. It kinda makes the Falcon into another control card. The Falcon also has secret card draw for more combo piece digging.

I'm trying out Archmage's Newt. In theory it can help recover after a Breach puts a bunch of cards in the grave but the Breach didn't quite get you there and you need to find another big play.

Of course Sheoldred, the Apocalypse gets a lot out of all the extra card draw.
