Hi! This is an incomplete mill budget deck with some mechanics that I thing that can work very well.
This is the deck I made and that I have been testing. I would appreciate a lot any criticism and recomendations.
So, a few premises:
- This is a budget deck but I don't want price being a concern when recomending cards
- I know the lands could be much beter, but as I said I will try to keep it cheap.
A little breakdown of the cards:
Glimpse the Unthinkable is the base of the deck, as it is in my opinion the strongest mill card for early game and it can make Wight of Precinct Six and Jace's Phantasm very big for an early punch.
Hedron Crab is a basic in almost every mill deck, and I know that with fetch lands it would be much more efficient. Swans of Bryn Argoll makes for a fantastic blocker and a silent killer, as people likes drawing lots of cards. We then have the two 5 cost monsters, Nemesis of Reason and Consuming Aberration. Both can mill for a lot and pack a punch or block efectively.
For other spells, (Mind Funeral and Mind Grind) we have big millers for late game to hopefully finish our opponents.
Grisly Spectacle and AEtherize can help us mill and fog in case of dire need. To finish, we have Mindcrank, which synergizes with our other creatures and can drop on turn two and Jace, Memory Adept, which can draw cards and mill for 10 for free (honestly he is there because I have one copy).
So, this is mostly it. The sideboard is not done as I do not know what to expect, so I would also appreciate help with it. For now, I know that Ravenous Trap can be an important card because it can be played for free and because it is an instant, so it can avoid nasty things as Emrakul or other graveyard shufflers.
My biggest inspiration: The Best Mill Deck...(?)
Thanks for the help and please forgive my bad english.
EDIT:
I am also considering turning this deck into full infinite combo with 4x Mindcrank and 4x Duskmantle Guildmage
EDIT 2: As suggested, Traumatize has been replaced by Fraying Sanity.
