U/G Wizard Ramp (casual)

I was looking at my favorite Simic cards and realized that most of them were wizards. Combine this with the ridiculousness that is Sage of Fables and mana ramp, and I started to see a deck form.

The result is a deck that ramps the first couple turns, but follows it up with absolutely massive draw engines. Games can look something like:
T1: Birds of Paradise
T2: Lorescale Coatl
T3: Master Biomancer
T4: Rancor+Fathom Mage as a 5/5 (draw 4)
T5: Prime Speaker Zegana as a 10/10 (draw 11 in total)
Unless they've removed the Lorescale Coatl, on turn 5 its a 20/20, albeit without evasion or trample. Rancor quickly solves that, and I don't even have to draw a new copy of it if they removed my Master Biomancer.

Even if I end up drawing completely different cards or getting hit hard by a little removal, the other cards all synergize way to well for me to list all the interactions (Sage of Fables+Lorescale Coatl is a big one, along with Glen Elendra Archmage+Sage of Fables or Master Biomancer). The card draw becomes especially crazy with the ramp that is Prophet of Kruphix.

The main difficulties I am seeing with this deck right now are:
-Its vulnerability to early attacks, especially fliers (like Lingering Souls). Cloudfin Raptor could help and would still be useful towards the end of the game when I have more cards in hand than I can play in a turn.
-Potential problems with heavy removal (although I haven't tested it since adding Plaxcaster Frogling). I'm still completely open to board wipes. I might look into Judge's Familiar for that (Cursecatcher is too expensive). It would also go a long way towards slowing down the early plays.
-Almost nothing to deal with permanents. 4 copies of Simic Charm are useful for the bounce, but I may also need to burn them for other things. I'm considering Trygon Predator, especially since its a flyer. I could also go the counterspell route with Rune Snag, but would rather not. Mystic Snake is also an option, but the 4 mana slot is already fairly well occupied.
-My high drops need lots of support to be good. My best topdeck with no creatures out is probably Lorescale Coatl. A Simic Sky Swallower would beat more face, but I'm not sure I want it. I think by the time I'm topdecking with no creatures I've probably lost.
-Still not sure how I feel about Gyre Sage. The 2 mana casting cost and need for a quick evolve is just so awkward.
-A little heavy on lands at the moment. Could probably get by with 20.
-The price-point is a little above optimal as well, and I am considering dropping Birds of Paradise and Hinterland Harbor, maybe even Glen Elendra Archmage.
