Ahem* Ugin, the Spirit Dragon is basically a win condition. Whenever he arrives, the entire game shifts to try and murder him as quickly as possible, and with good reason - I mean he's the unholy baby of Perilous Vault and Lightning Bolt on a stick. I'm not even going to discuss his ultimate here, because HOLY HECK.

Now our UGIN has made standard headlines in almost every matchup - because he's that good, but now we have a chance to make him even better, and by Jace we should take it. This is a midranged deck which focuses on putting powerful thopter generators and artifact creatures on the battlefield, using Ugin's -x and wiping an empty board clean.

But that's not all, we do need to find a way to get ugin onto the field after all, and before theros block rotates, behold the Pyxis of Pandemonium . Since all of our deck is permanents, the pyxis's activation gives us a huge advantage in our favor, particularly against control and aggros decks which actually run "spells". If we hit an Ugin with it... We have another way to bring Ugin into play in such a way he cannot be countered.

Get thopters, alt Ugin, get money.
