Sojourner's Companionis a strictly better Myr Enforcer even if it's just as small upside as possible

I'd agree with you Jareht and I'm likely to replace maybe 2x Myr Enforcer and 2x Barricade Breaker for the upside of fetching Darksteel Citadel.

I take back what I said: strict replacing of Myr Enforcer with Sojourner's Companion because like you said, the utility is worth. Thansk again for the recommendation!

Though I think I'd run at least one Moonsnare Prototype since you have so many noncreature 0's, worst case you can find it off saga to keep the mana flowing. Super minor stuff, but I found myself in that situation a couple times in the Playtest

FYI Urza's Saga can't fetch Mox Tantalite. There's a reason it's written to specifically say "mana cost or " and not "mana value 1 or less". It can't be used to search for something with no mana cost at all.

Rhadamanthus damn! That's so unfortunate for me. I appreciate the heads up. How can we offset this issue, because I see an opportunity to:

-remove Mox Tantalite

-replace the open spots with Moonsnare Prototype and Springleaf Drum.

Removing Mox Tantalite completely makes you entirely dependent on Springleaf Drum for colored mana, so I don't know if going up on Moonsnare Prototype is a good idea in that situation since they will be uncastable without a Drum.

I do think you need to up your counts of Memnite and Ornithopter to get more consistent use out of the Drums, and maybe consider Paradise Mantle as another option (it's slightly worse than Drum since it doesn't get around summoning sickness, but it's something). You might also want to think about Chromatic Star, even though it's just a one-time use. How much do you really need Scale of Chiss-Goria/Tooth of Chiss-Goria?

A nonzero number of Mox Tantalite might still be the right approach, but I feel like they get worse for you as the numbers go down since it's less likely for them to end up in your opening hand.

I'm curious as to why you've put Nulldrifter here? It's not an artifact so doesn't help with Affinity and doesn't trigger Simulacrum Synthesizer. Added to this, I don't see any realistic way for you to actually be able to cast this... it feels like a dead card in this deck?

Also surprised to not see Frogmite here - that card is easily one of the powerhouses in the current Simulacrum Synthesizer builds.

Finally, your land count looks super low (Affinity typically runs 19-20ish lands), and is missing a density of lands which are artifacts (i.e Tanglepool Bridge), which is probably going to make it harder to cast your Affinity spells.

wallisface all super valid points and fair across the board- we're talking about a list I haven't used for the better part of a year it feels, so I will try to acknowledge each piece:

• Nulldrifter just looked sweet at the time, holds up a three Mana draw ability, and has a casting value of , meant to hit the Ugin's Labyrinth.

• you make a great point that Frogmite should probably make the list again, more than likely in the spot that Nulldrifter is in right now.

• land count would typically worry me if not for the fact I'm used to playing this build as a 'Manaless' archetype. Do I need more? Potentially, but I'm more likely to keep the land count low, and the number of zero drops high.

Andramalech as the affinity list is currently among the top of the meta, it’s the best possible time to leverage the collective knowledge of all those people using it - the current competitive list looks like this

I am relatively certain that Kappa Cannoneer will make the list once MH3 is released, though it’s super hard to gauge what the list will look like without the full set reveal. Other cards being printed into MH3 like Meltdown might make it a lot harder for the deck to reliably compete - but again, time will tell.

Awesome list. Thoughts on Kozilek's Unsealing?

I have playtested it a bit, and it is very explosive when you can Recall off each Enforcer, and net {C}{C} off each Frogmite!

htownclyde yes! I have considered Kozilek's Unsealing and am currently waiting on the full set spoilers to register so that I may put together a better, more cohesive concept. This set has literally divided the Affinity community into like, three parts: eldrazi, cheerios, and rakdos Affinity. NONE of which are easy to navigate. Thanks for the commentary! Looking forward to seeing the return of Eldrazi Winter.
