Cool deck +1Here are some cool cards for this type of deck - altough they might not be the rigth ones for this type of deck.

Day's Undoing - forces the opponent to thin his deck atleast 21 cards (draws seven and mills atleast 14).

Fathom Feeder - deathtouch flyers can't be too bad - bonus is card advantage for you and opponent exiles one and mills atleast two.

Monastery Siege - it's normally seen in these types of decks, but I assume you want something different :)

Oracle of Dust - another card to use those cards exiled by your ingesters.

Replace altar's reap with Day's Undoing. Drop the dominators. Replace with Fathom Feeders. Drop Endless One for those Oracle of Dusts. Channeler should be replaced by Hedron Archive. Comes out a turn earlier, won't die to creature removal and draws you cards later. Swap a Skyspawner for Oblivion Sower. This way your deck will be more robust and you don't have to rely on having the perfect hand to win.

Days undoing does not mill. It will reset your mill. The small print means that your tutelages trigger never happens. Rule 713.1 i believe is the relevant ruling. May be 713.1a.

Grillman32, the card is there to reset hands. I'd have suggested Read the Bones if not for the getting back to 7 cards. On top of that you get rid of the hand they had and thin their deck a bit. The point is to get rid of their deck.

I was mistaken. Yeah, Days undoing does not mill the opponent. Unless you get to cast it during his turn (By casting quicken, or having hypersonic dragon in battlefield).

Wouldn't mill either way, the stack would be eliminated and Tutelage would never get its trigger through because when you get the effect for day's undoing, you exile the other effects on the stack and end the turn. That last combo for getting it at Instant speed is a good way to effectively give yourself an extra turn and a new hand though. But for the purposes of this deck it's a hand reset button that also advances the mill strategy by 7 cards.

I think it would mill, if you could cast it on your opponent's turn. I says "IF it's your turn, end the turn". If it's opponent's turn, it would not end the turn, and the exile-the-stack would not happen at all. Atleast that's how I understand it.

But it would be a bad play, when your opponent would have 30+ cards in graveyard.

Ah, yes you're right. But as I said, in here it would be a hand reset, and if your opponent has less than 7 cards you'd win if they had no hand to start. And between getting milled and trying to stop you they will likely play out their hand in an attempt. If unsuccessful they will be top decking and be extremely upset when you happen to mill that kill spell they were hoping they'd draw next turn. Perhaps we can find better draw..Jace, Vryn's Prodigy would be damn good here but we all know that no one who doesn't already have a playset probably won't be playing him unless they got cash to burn. Other than Read the Bones what would you say is a good cheap draw spell?

Treasure Cruise is great with tuelage. And dont get me wrong, i liked days undoing when could pair with Tormod's Crypt but i dont see the point in resetting the mill and filling their hand in a mill deck. Maybe Dark Deal ?

I like Fascination better. You have to have cards in your hand to actually get a good use out of Dark Deal and Fascination is potentially game ending.

Fascination is perfect for this deck, except I'm planning for when Tarkir rotates with Delve and mill becomes a safe strategy again. I'm looking at Origins onward, really.

I feel like Sire of Stagnation and Fathom Feeder should be a more of. The sire will mill at least 6 when they drop a land. Also, if you want it to be more rampy, then Oblivion Sower should join. Looking at the amount of ingest you have, he will almost always ramp you right up to an Ulamog

I like this deck. What to cut for a playset of Jace, Vryn's Prodigy  Flip I have the playset and like to build the (non budget version) deck.

You have 65 cards mainboard ??

November 15, 2015 10:02 a.m. Edited.

Mightywiggy Yep. I can't figure out which five cards to cut. honestly, it runs fine with 65 cards. i still play consistent games.

Maybe try running a Languish in your sideboard. Against aggro, it could help you out. Comment with the struggles you are having against aggro and I may be able to suggest more cards.

November 16, 2015 1:35 p.m.

ScruffySpydr, I'll try to get a couple Languish.

Aggro gets its creatures out too quickly, and i simply don't have enough control to deal with it right now. My meta is midrange-heavy, though, so i might be able to get by.

In the absence of board wipe you could also try some of the 1 and 2 cmc bounce spells from BFZ

November 17, 2015 2:52 p.m.

Just an FYI here, Grave Birthing doesn't actually counter delve spells. Exiling cards from your graveyard for delve, just like any other mana ability, doesn't use the stack and cant be responded to, Grave Birthing will hinder a delve decks ability to cast delve spells if used proactively, but it cannot outright counter a delve spell.

AL_EXcalibur14, I didn't know that. I'll clarify that with my lgs, they allowed me when my opponent questioned it...

Dark Petition in case you need Tutelage or Ulamog. Other than that this list looks really fun. I would cut Bane of Bala Ged, Blight Herder and 1 Grave Birthing.

November 19, 2015 10:29 a.m.

@Warlokthegreat: To cast a spell it is moved from where ever it is to the stack. Then all choices are made (such as targets and modes) and costs are paid. Then and only then do players receive priority.
