Your Turn 2 Win combo doesn't work because you have to sacrifice Llanowar Augur during your upkeep, and you can't cast it until your main phase. But that really doesn't take away from the rest of this deck, it's very nice for a very nice price. It's got a solid game and a very terrifying early game. But I hate you for playing infect. +1!
Also, this deck works very nicely as a Pauper deck, as all of the cards have a Common printing.

SomeJustice, Grantley91, Thanks for the suggestions. I'll run groundswell, and take out 2x Predator's Strike and 2x Llanowar Augur.

I have recently built a simic infect deck, and everyone seems to forget Virulent Sliver. I would put it in place of Blight Mamba, since infect decks need to be fast. You will almost never use the regenerate ability anyway, since you need to stay aggressive.
January 27, 2016 2:03 p.m.
Virulent Sliver's ability will only put 1 poison counter on the opponent whenever it deals damage. Infect replaces it's combat damage with poison counters, poisonous 1 gives the player 1 poison counter when they get dealt damage by a creature with poisonous 1.
In other words, putting Giant Growth on virulent sliver will result in 4 damage and 1 poison counter.
To replace the sliver, I think you could use 2 Become Immense and 2 Titanic Growth. Also, Apostle's Blessing is WAY better than Unnatural Predation. Unblockable will more often get the kill than trample does, and it can also serve as a counter to those nasty Lightning Bolts.

Wild Defiance and Vines of Vastwood are both amazing budget cards. Maybe even toss in 1 Putrefax for late game situations.

Actually looks like Wild Defiance went up a bit but it's worth it to add it because it owns against burn decks.

I'm thinking of getting rid of Become Immense, since it is so expensive for this deck, and replacing it with Vines of Vastwood. What do you think?
April 6, 2016 6:40 p.m.
Sounds good. You gotta love being able to counter those Terminates and Lightning Bolts with the vines, while also providing a wincon.
April 6, 2016 8:51 p.m.
Oh and no offense, but please take the competitive tag off. This deck isn't competitive.

I know it's probably for budget reasons but Rancor is what this deck is missing.
June 15, 2017 8:02 p.m.
Lobbert Yeah, I know. I originally had Rancor in it, but had to take it out to keep the deck really cheap. A play set of Rancors would add make the deck increase by 1/2 of its current price.

I'd definitely try to run Invigorate in there over Slaughterhorn. Zero mana for +4/+4 beats one mana for +3/+2 hands down! It's pretty cheap, too.

Invigorate is better, but I think it is on the banned list for pauper.
December 11, 2017 11:30 p.m.
yugifix Well, I have this deck listed under pauper, and it says that it's legal, but you could be right! Thanks for the comment!

No problem. I plan on trying your deck at my LGS. They are starting pauper after the first of the year. Thanks again for posting it.

not enough creatures and prot spells, to much lands and banned ivigorate... well. Nice pauper deck! :v
December 20, 2017 1:06 a.m.
Kiivuhl Thanks for the comment. I checked, and it turns out you are right about Invigorate being banned. Do you have any suggestions of what to replace Invigorate with or how many lands to drop? Thanks!
December 20, 2017 8:26 p.m.
Rancor for sure, Seal of Strength over growth, cause it work like free spell and this is another one drop, Blight Mamba and maybe some Gitaxian Probe. Vines of Vastwood as prot spell should be 100% here x4 - Apostle's Blessing is much worse.. And please remember there are a lot of edicts in pauper (sac creature effects), so indestructible doesn't save them. About lands - for me 18 is a nice number, especially when you have probe that work like ~2 lands.
If you want some ideas, please check this video . I think this version of mono G infect is pretty nice.

Kiivuhl once again, thanks for these great suggestions. Seal over growth was a great idea. I also will include some Vines of Vastwood. However, in order to keep the price under 20 dollars, Gitaxian Probe and Rancor cannot go into it, and i can only include 2 vines. I plan on making a 30-40 dollar version of this deck in the future, and when i do i will include 4x of all of those cards. However, due to the theme of the deck, I cannot include either of those cards here. Thanks for your ideas!

Hey guys! for those of you who didn't see this up top, I've made a better version of this deck that is slightly more expensive, but works a bit better. You can stop by it by clicking HERE.

You can't sac an Augur the turn he comes into play unless they errata'd the text to change it from "only play this during your upkeep".
I would suggest running Groundswell instead of Predator's Strike.
