### Umezawa's Funky Rat Penthouse

The deck itself is built around rat colonies, overwhelming the board through sheer numbers with a win condition of Umezawa with a swarm of unblockable rats. The deck also has decent control, utilizing traditional removal spells such as cast down and negate, with an emphasis on maintaining board control from the start.

Pros:

-- Good early game presence

-- Can operate efficiently on a low mana curve

-- Guaranteed creature drop on turn 2

-- Decent removal spells for little amounts of mana given

-- Good synergy between cards

Cons:

-- Susceptible to generic board wipe spells (if no removal is available)

-- Has issues if creatures get too big or defensive

-- Somewhat predictable, given that a good chunk of the deck is purely rats

-- Can struggle against token decks like Boros

What can I do to work out the kinks of the given cons, given that my local scene is dominated by Merfolk and Boros? And what would be a good spread for a sideboard?

Suggestions

Updates Add

Thanks to the suggestions of Blackgate down in the comments, I've added Warkite Marauder to the main board, and Plague Mare to my side board. I've also reduced the amount of rat colonies down to 12 to round the deck out to 60 cards, and moved Thought Erasure to the sideboard. Any new suggestions would be much appreciated, especially if you have any ideas on how to improve the survive-ability of the rat colonies themselves!

EDIT: Due to further help from Blackgate, I've added Spell Pierce in place of Opt on the mainboard. I've also gotten rid of Burglar Rat and added more Rat Colony in it's place, alongside moving Negate to the sideboard in favor of Thought Erasure
