Ikoria IS HERE !!! YES !!!

I had enouth of all this Eldraine and Threros. I loved the lore of the two sets but i didn't have any spark of creativity. Uro and the others were powerfull indeed but weren't fun in my book. Ikoria thought... i had fun both with the lore, it's mechanics and the deckbuilding that comes with it. Here comes the big beasties that can do crazy stuff with mutate ! It's not aiming to be competitive but to be a least fun and efficient.

The plan is to ramp with Umori, the Collector into massive creatures that go through the opponents responses with some hexproof, trample or fly. The early creatures we have are good targets to mutate onto thanks to their protection, evasiveness or simply because they turn into literal monsters with pure strength. Migratory Greathorn is a great 3 drop fot it's stats, especialy if mutated on Gilded Goose or Essence Symbiote. Gemrazer and Dirge Bat are good as responses or finishers as they can both detroy problematic permanents and pass the enemy blockers. As with mutate, we are suseptible to removal, and the Abzan wedge gives us Nethroi, Apex of Death and Boneyard Lurker to keep pumping our board after the death of the boys. If it is still not enought, Auspicious Starrix can give us the second breath we need as we are dependent of our presence on the board.

In the sideboard we have different options depending of our matchups. Voracious Hydra and Stonecoil Serpent can realy become assets if the board is challenged. Insatiable Hemophage gives us drain abilities and defences if our life total is pressured. Cubwarden can flood the board if we meet an opponent that is not creature centric or after Wrath effects to give new mutate targets. One Dirge Bat and another Nethroi are also available if need be.

There is the possibility of Hushbringer to one sidedly stop ETBs as mutate is NOT an ETB effect; and some other adventure cards can be explored as they are still considered creatures and give spell effects, plus, some of them are realy good mutate targets.
