Maybeboard

Some number of years ago before Unstable was ever announced, I felt like making a silver border deck that was actually functional using a mixture of silver and black border cards. Now with the release of Unstable, I've decided to change from a 60 card kitchen table deck, to a Un-Commander deck. The two synergies that were the impetus of the original 60 card version are back: Symbol Status + a carefully selected collection of basic lands and Our Market Research Shows That Players Like Really + Wordmail . The second important part for Symbol Status to work is hand drawing all Set Symbol tokens and other tokens the deck may create (Sheep, Squirrels, Gnomes, Apes) so that Drawn Together + Graphic Violence can have MAXIMUM impact. From the new Unstable set I chose to go hard into the Host/Augment strategy, including every possible creature in the deck's colors. When picking the few black-border cards to supplement this deck, i looked for similarly wacky creatures, and creatures with unusual abilities. Majestic Myriarch is a wonderful fit as a Chimera and can be stupid big on a board full of tokens. I was delighted to stumble across Copperhoof Vorrac and think he fits perfectly in a silver bordered deck. I mean, what other card cares about the number of untapped permanents?!

This is the final deck, but I left the Maybeboard full of other cards I considered during the building process.
