The whole purpose of this deck is to kill the opponent faster than they can kill you with unblockable creatures powered up with artifacts. Kind of like a blue version of a Red Deck Wins deck.

Cranial Plating is the reason I went with artifacts and just filled my deck with as many as I could. For example, Ornithopter may not be unblockable, but has flying and can be powered up like any other creature.

Every other card is for some type of protection most notably Energy Field if they're out of removal, and Wash Out can slow them down sometimes.

Quietus Spike is for those that heal reasonably fast.
