I would consider running a few Unsummon s as your creatures are fairly weak especially before their equipments. I would replace the Hissing Miasma s with the Unsummon s because the Unsummon can delay damage for up to three turns (The initial summon of opponent's creature, the round the creature attacks, and the second summon of the creature).
I would question why Shuko is even on the maybe board. Yes, it is easy to get out and equip, but is one additional attack going to be effective? I could see cards such as Grappling Hook and Gorgon's Head providing a boost to your damage. I would try to use some equipments that would provide reach or flying, first strike or double strike, deathtouch, and maybe lifelink.
You may want to invest in a few Trinket Mage s to search your deck for any artifacts. Another Card that could help this would be Tezzeret the Seeker .
For your mana, I would recommend the removal of all four Darkslick Shores for basic lands as each one delays your mana ramp by one after turn two to four (depending on how many lands you have within your first nine cards). You will benefit more by adding more basic lands instead of those two.
One of my biggest concerns for your deck is the low costs of everything. This is a great thing to have. I have a similar deck. However, I lost a game at FNM because the opponent had a Steel Hellkite that had an equipment that gave it trample, so in two turns he had wiped out my board presence and won the game.
I think you have a good deck idea and it would be fun to play, but it needs to have more lategame capability.

I've only done milling through ciphers up to now, or untapped stuff with Hidden Strings ... I'll take a look at your deck, maybe I can rip something off or even leave some comment. :D
Thanks a lot for your suggestions. Hissing miasma is indeed not enough to defend by itself, I'll try adding a few Unsummon to buy time.
In the late game, I've got good use for my mana. If a creature of mine dies, I'll have to attach all the equipment it had to another. With multiple equipments, that adds up pretty quickly. I agree on the need for a better defense against late-game fatties, though. Hissing Miasma only keeps weenies off.
Gorgon's head and grappling hook don't fit in too well. I barely block, since I want to attack with my creatures. For Double Strike, Fireshrieker would be better than grappling hook, since my creature's can't be blocked anyways.
Tezzeret the Seeker is a great idea, and Trinket Mage ain't half bad either. On the way to the maybeboard.
Thanks for all the suggestions, they're appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to see if it works out in the end, since I sometimes bounce my own creatures when targeted.

A great land for this deck might be Creeping Tar Pit and also a big beefy guy for low mana and is unblockable is Hunted Phantasm but you need aoe to deal with the tokens.

Lol, I'm playing both of them in other decks, Polarfang. They're very good cards in the right situations.
See, the problem with Creeping Tar Pit is that it drops all equipments at the end of the turn, so I have to pay 1UB to animate it, then, in addition, all the equip costs, and all of that in the same turn.
Hunted Phantasm, well, I'm kind of on edge with that. It would clearly be an asset when used in combination with equipments like Fireshrieker, but gives the opponent half a turn advantage as the tokens can attack before the phantasm can. Summoning sickness makes this a card I prefer to use in multiplayer games over one-on-one duels. Still, I'll try it out and see how it fares.
Thanks for the suggestions and the vote, they're appreciated.

Gudul Lurker or Triton Shorestalker? Seems better than Ferropede since you are lacking onedrops.

Also, Military Intelligence and/or Bident of Thassa are great carddrawers in this type of deck.

Lastly, Lethargy Trap or Turn the Tide would be good sideboard cards against more aggro matchups.

Gudul Lurker looks good, Bloodspawn, thanks.. The main reasons to run Ferropede in the first place are not only the synergy with Cranial Plating and Vedalken Engineer, but mostly the fact that it offers a chance to stay in the game after a Blood Moon dropped. So, I'll put a set of lurkers in the sideboard, and change them in on game two if the opponent is not playing red. That moon is such a nuisance...
Military Intelligence won't fit the tron style of the deck, but Bident of Thassa might be worth considering, although a Tandem Lookout would do the same for a mana less. But then again, the Bident is an artifact... hmmm. I'll probably have made up my mind by the time I freed up some deck space.
Lethargy Trap and Turn the Tide seem too circumstantial to me. I'd rather add Hissing Miasma or something like that.
Thanks for the suggestions, and the vote too.

Alright, Ferropede just seemed expensive to me, regardless of the synergy.
The main reason i suggested Gudul Lurker was that playing a 1 drop unblockable would allow you to attack with an equipped Bonesplitter or Cranial Plating as early as turn 2. But im glad you could it useful anyhow :)
You are forgetting one important advantage Bident of Thassa has over Tandem Lookout... The bident draws you a card for EACH creature that deals damage ;)

If only that Blood Moon weren't so annoying, I'd mainboard the lurkers right away. It was a good suggestion.
I'm not forgetting that part of Bident of Thassa, Bloodspawn. See, once I got a creature out, my resources will be used to get as many equips onto it as possible before getting more creatures out. 3+2 mana for a Fireshrieker, 2+1 for a Cranial Plating, 2+1 for a Specter's Shroud and so on, Voltron style. Most of the time, I'll be swinging with singles. Pun not intended.
...Hey, I forgot to add the deck to the Voltron Hub! Fixing that now.

Why not read the description? The swords are a lot slower than all the equips in the deck, slower to cast, and slower to (re-)equip. Give the deck a few playtests and see for yourself how long it would take to get the swords out and swing with them. I even moved Fireshrieker to the maybeboard because it was too cumbersome, and that has the same costs.
I've considered Darksteel Axe before, but it's just a slower Bonesplitter with indestructible.
August 15, 2015 4:47 a.m.
The description says nothing about swords being too slow. Also, I find that with the strings and engineers I have more than enough mana on each of my turns. Maybe just 1 Sword of Fire and Ice?

@ SirEpic
It does reference the low cmc and that everything can be used with only two lands. Can the swords be used with only two lands? Please pay attention.
Hidden Strings can't help you to cast a 3-drop. You also can't rely on getting both hidden strings and vedalken engineer out simultaneously, or even one of them. If it does not work with neither on the field... It. Is. Too. Slow.

Looks good! Don't forget you can also use Hidden Strings to tap down your opponents lands before you enter the attack-phase and this avoid being hit by something like Celestial Flare.

Thanks, Bloodspawn. I've decided to mainboard the lurkers you suggested after all, despite the danger of encountering a Blood Moon.
I'll alter the part of the description regarding Hidden Strings to reflect that it can do more than just untap lands. That is its most common use here, but definitely not its only use.

I've messed around with unblockables as well. I took a slightly different take on it in my deck Elbrus the Unblockable. Although I don't think Elbrus is worth it in your deck, I definitely think you should look into some cipher card. They gain a lot of value with unblockable creatures.
