Unchain the Titans, is a standard Golgari deck based around using efficient creatures and removal for the early game. When your mana ramps up enough, start bringing big bois back from the graveyard.
Archfiend's Vessel
- a cheap early blocker with lifelink to boot. Also a great target for some later graveyard recursion to bring out a 5/5 flying demon.
Skull Prophet
- cheap ramp and the higher power also makes it a nice target for adding trample to when cycling a Titanoth. Being able to self mill cards to the graveyard such as lands, Titanoth and Polukranos to bring back later is also quite valuable.
Acolyte of Affliction
- more self milling is nice and it's a good blocker once it's on the field. Use it to bring back lands and other needed permanents from your graveyard to your hand.
Polukranos, Unchained
- a beefy 6/6 with a handy fight ability for eliminating creature threats. Even better if you can summon it for its escape cost. Just be careful not to exile any Titanoth's or other potentially useful cards if you can help it when paying the escape cost. Also makes a great target for a Titanoth's trample counter.
Titanoth Rex
- what's not to love about an 11/11 with trample? Cycle it out early to the graveyard and bring it back cheaper using the variety of recursion spells in the deck.
Back for More
- a recursion spell, perfect to use with Titanoth or Polukranos. Great for eliminating threatening creatures as well.
Thwart the Grave
- another two for one recursion spell. Also costs one less mana if you have a cleric out. The perfect combo is to bring back a Titanoth as the creature, and then an Archfiend as the cleric target to get a 5/5 flying demon.
Poison the Cup
- cheap creature removal. Cast it for the foretell cost it you dont need it right away or don't have the extra mana. Reap some valuable scrying.
Inscription of Abundance
- a very versatile spell, especially if the kicker cost can be spent. Great for buffing creatures, eliminating threats or stocking up on some life.
Binding the Old Gods
- a saga, which are usually a good mana value. Start off which some non land removal, followed by a forest land search on your next turn and then finally, deathtouch to all of your creatures on the third turn. Deathtouch can be especially useful when paired which any fight spell or ability. Even a 1/1 or 2/2 Polukranos with deathtouch can be used to eliminate a big threat.
Temple of Malady
- a dual land that comes in tapped. I prefer being able to scry and having better card potential as opposed to getting a life point from life gain dual lands.
All in all, this graveyard deck is my constantly refined pride and joy for both arena and paper. Hopefully you can have some fun with it or it will inspire you towards building some other deck. Suggestions are welcome as well as anything else you would like me to add.
