That would open up so many possibilities. It would allow Scion to copy any creature!

I understand that conspiracy would be pretty nifty, but I want to be winning the game on turn five or so...all my dragons have a place because in them, I have pretty much all the answers I'd ever need. Adding in Conspiracy plus other nondragon creatures increases the chance I'll draw a nondragon creature I don't need. Basically Conspiracy is just too slow to work the way it's supposed to in this particular deck, I think.

How come Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon over some other dragons? Just as an alternate wincon? I'd maybe prefer Eternal Dragon or another one of the kamigawa ones. Other than that, this deck is pretty friggen beast. I mean dragon. Way to go! +1'd

With Scion of the Ur-Dragon , Moltensteel Dragon plus Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon is a one-turn kill early- to mid-game.

I'm honeslty shocked, due to the reanimation theme, that Teneb, the Harvester isn't in here. Other than that, you make some damn good EDH decks. +1

Yeah!!!! So utvara hellkite and Kokusho, the Evening Star are definitely going in the deck haha. For dang sure!!! Haven't got around to updating it yet. I'm happy I bought a kokusho in anticipation of it getting unbanned, about a month ago :-)

@BossLeiser: I've thought about Teneb, the Harvester and I've playtested it a bunch. The results showed that the card was way too slow; however, I've noticed that Flameblast Dragon has been pretty meh, so thanks to your input, I'll be replacing him with teneb :-). The goal of this deck is also to be aggro and have one-turn-kill-te-table ability, so it's gotta be fast. Teneb should give it a bit more resiliency tho!

Did you consider Teneb, the Harvester ? I've seen it in friend's deck, great synergy with Scion. Also some of the others tri-color legendaries may be worth it.

I would suggest Vorosh, the Hunter . The counters stay on Scion after he loses the disguise.

Hellkite Overlord is also a good one to add, if nothing else if Scion dies you can turn him into the overlord and swing with a haster.

Although it may not be needed, Steely Resolve is always a nice addition I find in my Scion deck.

Otherwise looks nice and should be pretty strong.

Vorosh, the Hunter is pretty vanilla; basically I doubt I'd take out another dragon to put vorosh in. I want my dragon to be able to win in one turn or be protected from harm. The best ways to do that, I've found, are to give it phyrexian/firebreathing, infect, trample, double strike, haste, or a combination of these abilities. Usually, he is big enough to one-shot someone without having to use a dragon for +1/+1 purposes. Also, vorosh does nothing else to benefit my board state; for example, I wouldn't target vorosh with recursion. I'd rather have a better dragon in the graveyard.

Those are my thoughts. I also only have room for so many dragons, and I want them all to be the best :-).

The Steely Resolve sounds cool tho!! I wonder if I can find a spot for it. Would give my dragons a breather.

Moltensteel Dragon is the best Scion target ever. One turn you can minus 34 life and get +17 to do 21 commander damage all at once. Awesome combo. It's either that or the all time great Dragon Tyrant . I'm building a Scion EDH deck right now and can't wait to play those combos. =)

Thx! Molten skittles is fun :-). But there are so many great targets: most notably Nicol Bolas with card:Volrath's Stronghold, Kokusho, the Evening Star , yosei (repeatedly), keiga, Utvara Hellkite ...so many options.

But scion isn't required to beat down: he can also get a bunch of dragons into the yard along with Buried Alive etc and then a Living Death (with boseiju backup) does the trick.

card:All Hallow's Eve, if you put Karthus in the graveyard or already have fires out, someone is going to die.

card:Faith's Reward making their boardwipes ineffective.

Quick question: how do half of these dragons kill in 1 turn, I've looked at the spells in your deck and find that REALLY hard to do. You mention giving "give it phyrexian/firebreathing, infect, trample, double strike, haste, or a combination of these abilities". If all these are for Scion, then I doubt you'll have enough black to pump the infect to ten. Also, if this is all for Scion, you might want more protection for him. If not, your comment saying only the best dragons seems confusing because I seriously doubt you can pump Flameblast Dragon with that big a Fireball without infinite mana. I think I just need clarification, is this a 1v1 deck? That would explain a lot.

+1 cuz Dragons!!! lol, i like what youve put together here, ive been working on a scion deck too for the past couple of months, but i didnt go full on reanimator, im only running 1 reanimate spell (aside from the dragons) in Patriarch's Bidding. if youd like to, id appreciate it if you checked it out. Dragon Armor (Scion EDH) i take any and all criticism. but with your deck, i can only suggest a Liliana Vess ultimate effect, if not liliana herself, maybe try Rise of the Dark Realms? could work out for you.

Making Scion a copy of Nicol Bolas is just gorgeous.

Any new changes

Hey everyone, I'm not on here super often these days (the many years since my last comment probably explains that lol). So far no new changes, I've dismantled the deck for now. I'd like to remake it and update it at some point but idk when. Life, ya know. And one-shot kills come from moltensteel dragon and the infect dragon in combination. Quicksilver dragon is protection. I forget a lot, honestly. But I'd like to ressurect this deck haha. It's a very fun casually competitive deck in my opinion.

trying to bring down a load of pain on your opponents. If I could maybe give one suggestion. Vizkopa GuildmageNot a card that will go infinite. Because honestly I try not to go infinte either. But combined with the power of dragons this card will deal some serious pain. imagine Balefire Dragon with just 6 mana this dragon can win a game in one attack.
