Hey Noah! As you can probably tell, this is an Undertale themed decklist I made for your birthday. This description is just to tell you about why I made certain card choices.

Sans as Ludevic, Necro-Alchemist and Papyrus as Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder - I chose these guys for the lead skeletons because I wanted partner commanders that represented your two favorite skeletons. I went with Ludevic for Sans because they are both reclusive scientists who know a lot about monsters and the undead. Bruse Tarl is the Papyrus because he's a cool, likeable guy who just wants to be your pal and help you out with stuff, like murdering your enemies.

Alphys as Stitcher Geralf - This was one of my favorite inclusions because of how much I like Geralf and how well he fits with Alphys. They're both renowned scientists who famously combined dead bodies/SOULs into horrific monsters. Geralf also has a lot of ties and gets a lot of inspiration from Ludevic, our "Sans".

Asgore as Darien, King of Kjeldor - Darien is famous for reclaiming the lands that his kingdom of Kjeldor had lost in the many Dominarian wars, much like how Asgore wants to reclaim the overworld for the monsters. He's mostly peaceful until he is betrayed, like Asgore in the game.

Chara as Heliod, God of the Sun - Chara is the first human to fall to the Underground and is often revered in legend for being an amazing hero. But when Frisk finally gets to meet Chara, it turns out that Chara is an evil maniac and needs to defeat her. That is almost an exact copy of the story of Elspeth and Heliod. Heliod is a literal god that is known as being generous and good, but when the "protagonist", Elspeth actually meets Heliod, he is insane and kills her until she comes back in Theros: Beyond Death and defeats him.

Determination as Conviction - Determination is a quality that only humans have that gives them more resilient souls, kinda like the high toughness boost. And it can even be extracted, like Alphys did, by only paying

Flowie as Archangel Avacyn   - Much like Flowie, Avacyn initially appears as a kind and generous being, but when they are wronged (by having one of their creatures die) they become an evil, near-unstoppable threat.

Frisk as Akroma, Angel of Fury and Akroma, Angel of Wrath - Depending on which timeline you are looking at, Frisk can be a kind hero, or a merciless slaughtered. It's a lot like Akroma before the events of Time Spiral that altered the history of Dominaria.

Gaster Blaster as Fireshrieker - Because come on, look at the art.

Golden Flowers as Gilded Lotus - I shouldn't have to explain this

Human & Monster War as Akroan war - A war between two drastically different societies that resulted in one of them being cast out and leaving their home.

Mettaton as Memnarch - They are both charismatic robots, it's just that Memnarch uses his charm to gain control of the minds of his enemies.

Toriel as Zedruu the Greathearted - Because not only do they look the same, they are both generous people that are rewarded by giving gifts to others

Undyne as Anya, Merciless Angel - They are both devoted to justice and as the battle rages on, they both get stronger, even escaping death by resurrecting or becoming invincible

Now onto the rest of the deck. I chose a politics theme because one of Undertale's biggest focuses on consequences and karma. Well, in this deck, you will be playing karma. You have a lot of opportunities to let yourself and your opponents make choices (listed in the choices section). And depending on whether you like those choices, you can dish out rewards and punishments (in the karma section).

And then there's the Vegetables, because every deck needs ramp, draw, and removal.

But lastly there's your win cons, how you close out the game. You have three, each named after the endings in Undertale.

Genocide-Mob Rule No worse way to die than slaughtering your opponents with their own creatures

Pacifist-Approach of the Second Sun It rewards you for sitting back and waiting, rather than killing your enemies

Neutral-Assemble the Legion Because this is just a cool card

Happy Birthday Noah! I hope you enjoy this list! There's a Card Kingdom gift card coming in the mail soon to help you purchase this deck in paper if you want to do so.
