I don't think Lotleth Troll has a place in this deck. You don't have enough creatures you'd like to discard.

So would you put in more cards that want to be discarded? He is good with Corpsejack Menace though. 2 counters every creature I discard.

Yeah, I know he's good with the Menace, but he'll just be a big target with not enough to do. You could try putting in more cards that want to be discarded. Gravecrawler s are definitely a good choice.

Nevermind, strike that. Not enough Zombies to make that work. Veilborn Ghoul ?

Yeah, but I don't want this to turn into just plain boring golgari. Want it to stay a bit different :P. If I just removed him altogether, what would I put in?

Honestly, I think you'd do well with Increasing Savagery . I know it deactivates your Undying, but just use it on a creature that has already died. Think about it. With Corpsejack Menace out, you get 10 +1/+1 counters for 4 mana. If you flash it back, twenty counters for 7. Corpsejack Menace can easily win games with Increasing Savagery .

-3 Lotleth Troll +2 Increasing Savagery ? That will get the deck down to 60 :). I still do want a bigger threat like Lotleth Troll though.

Thanks for the comments!

The thing is, Lotleth Troll is only a big threat when you have a lot of things you'd like to discard. Increasing Savagery will turn anything into a big threat. Actually, have you considered running Tormented Soul ? At worst, it's a pinger. At best, it's a giant, unblockable threat. Even just scavenging a Slitherhead with a Corpsejack Menace out will make it a 3/3 unblockable. Taking three every turn will be bad for your opponent.

Just finished a game where I had an 11/11 Tormented Soul a Corpsejack Menace and some other undying/unleash creatures. My opponent lost in a hurry :P.

You should try 21 lands and maybe add in Flayer of the Hatebound or Hunger of the Howlpack

If you're wanting a really big threat like Lotleth Troll how about Primordial Hydra instead? That with Corpsejack Menace will make it huge in no time :P

Agreed on the 22 pr 21 lands. I'll try out Primordial Hydra :).

Try Vorapede even though he is triple green he is a great big body with undying and fits the theme - plus with all the land support you should be able to get trip green by turn 5 if not turn 6

I prefer primordial over Vorapede ;).

why Bloodthrone Vampire ? you would be much better suited to the theme with Bloodflow Connoisseur . Plus, both of these aren't that great cards. Pyreheart Wolf is also not useful. I thinkif price is not an issue Bonfire of the Damned would be a great addition. ALso, Falkenrath Aristocrat would help greatly. Removal should also definitely contain 4x Tragic Slip . I know how I always seem to drag decks into my favorite zombies archetype, but Blood Artist with undying will make any trade a death trap for an opponent, so everything will be unblockable. Rakdos Cackler is fun, but only hen you have Corpsejack Menace out is he anywhere near Gravecrawler .

Does Corpsejack Menace affect Primordial Hydra ? It never says place counters on the hydra, just start with some and then double... but if double counters means place counters = number of current counters, then keep the hydra.

I feel like the only card you should change is Arbor Elf , because while he is really nice ramp, almost all of your cards cost 2 mana or less, so I'm not sure how much he accelerates your deck. But I haven't playtested, so if you find he does accelerate nicely then I would keep him.

I really like Pyreheart Wolf , makes a nice pseudo evasion.

Arbor Elf is awesome in the early game for mana fixing and for ramp :).

I THINK primordial works :/.

It's a nice deck idea, but I don't think it was executed well; you were too focused on doing just one thing and nothing else. Your creatures will just become big targets. Without trample, they can be chump blocked. Without protection or any real responses, they can be removed. Without reach or flying, they have neither evasion nor a defense against fliers. The entire deck is essentially creatures who will get bigger and that's it.

Believe me when I say that if you focus on a few creatures and their abilities then you will more than get the job done. Corpsejack Menace and some cheap, classic green/black undyings will be more than enough and you can focus the rest of the deck on removal (which black has no problem with), defense against flying green's forte) and some protection spells like Fog . In fact, removal becomes your friend: Demonlord of Ashmouth can come in and sacrifice one of your creatures, who can then come right back from the grave with as many SIXTEEN +1/+1 counters.

Consider giving creatures regenerate and trample via the Ring of Xathrid and Ring of Kalonia . The former will protect your creatures from death very well (which is extremely important for Corpsejack Menace ) and the latter will give your creatures a reason to attack without worrying about blockers, and both will benefit from all of those +1/+1 counters.

Demonlord of Ashmouth . Trust me, I use him all the time, coupled with Corpsejack Menace he would be a huge flyer if he managed to die.

Agreed on Demonlord of Ashmouth . Would Rancor work well?

What would you suggest removing for the rings?
