All I can say about Monastery Mentor is that I've never lost a single game where he had the chance to hit the field. If he's not destroyed as he enters the battlefield, the game is almost over. You made well discarding him both twice during our games. ;)

Yeah I know the power of mentor. If I were to go more aggressive instead of grindy i'd certainly cut something for 3-4 of him.

Also ChiefBell on your recommendation, I'll cut Dreadbore for Terminate

I'd also trade a Thoughtseize for an Inquisition of Kozilek, because lifeloss is a real thing. Also, something that only a few people do, you should trade some lands for Simian Spirit Guide. You're not playing combo, but mana out of nowhere is always useful on a strategic point of view, and turn 3-4 Dragon is always frightening. Bump in the Night could also be a thing. ;)
