what's the idea with olivia in the SB? what type of matchups do you bring her in?

HoweYouDrewin Jund/affinity/tron maybe.
you Never cast her without mana to activate her. She can :
Against Affinity : Ensure they will never cast an x/1 ever again
Against Jund/Tron : Steal the things that are beating the crap out of you while you prepare for the next thing.
Essentially she evens out our midrange mirror match-ups. I'd not recommend adding her against abzan though because we want to avoid path targets.

With over 1/6th of the deck being 3 cmc or higher? Yes. Not too mention decks are packing tonnes of removal so Dark Confidant just doesn't see as much play anymore. Too easy to remove.

Siege is four mana though...
Also, why 3 Bitterblossom? If the name of the game is stall them out, you're going to die to your own enchantment.
I really like Stormbreath as a finisher, he does a nice job. Did you consider throwing in a Thundermaw or two? I hear that Lingering Souls is annoying lol.

Siege being 4 mana is an upside
Dodges Abrupt Decay and provides the extra draw when i need it and have adequate mana to spend on it. Being an enchantment auto makes it better in the current meta. Are you doing to waste board space with enchantment destruction vs the young pyro\lingering souls deck?
People often literally can't interact with it or are forced to ignore it due to my other threats. On top of all of this, it acts as a Goblin Bombardment when i need it to. I've never regretted slamming it. Not even once.
Bitterblossom is new tech to this build. I like it because it stalls goyfs all day long, makes evasive fliers, and adds early threats to my board while I'm chizzling the opponent down. I don't think it will kill me. I switch gears and go aggressive once the opportunity strikes. I also included a vault to draw into for such an occassion.
One could also trade the outposts for sorin 3.0 and stormy/some other mix of spells for bob if they were so inclined but I'm comfortable running as is

Ryotenchi i certainly have the impression that it's stronger than Tidehollow Sculler and since Liliana of the Veil is the only other card I'd safely put there which i don't want to, i think it's the best thing for this deck
May 15, 2015 6:13 p.m.
I think its awesome, cause your deck is mid to late game anyways isnt it? :P

Yeah that fairly sums it up. I Haven't had a chance to do any testing but i have good feelings about this configuration

Alright we have a problem guys. Collected Company
Combo Company isn't as bad being that it is a combo deck and thus does have the silver bullet of Blood Moon + Slaughter Games plan but the real threat here is :
Elf Company : They out board us very quickly and have means to retrieve things from the grave which renders out discard a lot less effective. They also have Ezuri, which is like a 1 card trump to our entire deck with regen + trample effects
Hatebear/Zoo Company : Not so sure about this list yet. I haven't seen a full one yet but I suspect they will outboard us just as quickly.
What do you think? Is the end upon us?
May 24, 2015 2:04 p.m.
I started boarding Anger of the Gods in my Grixis delver to combat the CoCo decks. I haven't had a chance to test it yet, but it seems like a good place to start.

My thought is that I might have to move Outpost Siege to the sideboard for something else and Shift Stormbreath Dragon into something else. Not sure what though.

would having a few cards that hate on green be any good against chord/company elves?

I mean, Elves are really small in the current meta, so...

For sure yeah but collected company is really hard to beat for me now. I honestly don't know what to do about it

Alright not gonna get drastic. Just need anger i think.

Femme_Fatale says... #21
Anger of the Gods is only going to help you defeat elves and mono-g aggro. It will not help you defeat Collected Melira, CCHB or CCMB because they have Burrenton Forge-Tender in the side.
The one thing a CC player is REALLY scared of, is wraths. Run Damnation/Wrath of God and you win.
May 24, 2015 6:34 p.m.
He could just kill the Forge-Tender before casting anger.
May 24, 2015 6:37 p.m. Edited.
VampireArmy says... #23
Actually it'll have to be wrath of god anyways. Elves has regen and pump

Also, you have no problems winning UNLESS they drop an Auriok Champion. Fiendslayer Paladin can be scary too.

Yet to deal with that list. Matter is a fact yours is the only i know using the Jedi so im not so conserned about it. I can out race in the sky

FAMOUSWATERMELON : Thank you for the thought but he's counteractive to my plan. I'm not exactly trying to be an aggressive deck and at 4 mana I'd need him to be a lot stronger than a 3/3 with no protections.
