Is there a reason you're running Obelisk of Grixis instead of Chromatic Lantern ? If not it seems like it might be a strict upgrade unless I'm missing something.

sonnyboy010, I'm not running Lantern for the simple fact that I just didn't think about it. Thanks for the tip!

The_Silver_Dragon I had that in this deck for a while, but cut it because I wanted more creatures with ETB or LTB effects. A big, hard-to-remove flying threat might be worth another look, though.

Kardur, Doomscourge gives you an abuseable Disrupt Decorum effect.

Vigean Graftmage/Metallic Mimic both come down before and immediately protect Marchesa and they allow for etb/death abuse.

Plumb the Forbidden I look at as black's version of Heroic Intervention. Instant speed and pseudo dodging counterspells makes this card but the fact you can use it proactively here pushes it over the edge.

Seize the Spotlight is going to draw 3 essentially free 99% of the time. If someone is dumb enough to vote theft, it doesn't target the player or creature so it gets around protection/hexproof/shroud.

Anyways, feel free to check out my list for ideas. It's a little more focused on etb/death trigger abuse but has several similarities. Upvotes on any of my decks are appreciated. Every Masochist Needs a Marchesa to Love Them

Last_Laugh: Thanks for the comment. In fact I have seen (and upvoted) your deck before.

I have played around with Kardur in this deck once, but he was cut for one reason or another. Maybe it's time to reassess.

Mimic is a good idea, I didn't think of that one. Graftmage is pretty cool too.

I haven't looked too much at newer cards in the context of this deck, but I can definitely see the appeal of Plumb and Seize.
