Bringing back the midrange —Jan. 24, 2014
I realized that I had crippled this deck's ability to play midrange and that my combos were getting too slow. So I've tried to bring that midrange aspect back to the deck. I've added in Wound Reflection, Kokusho, the Evening Star, Avatar of Woe, and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed are back. Added in Triskelion because he's decent midrange and he combos for an instant win with Mikaeus. Added in Temporal Extortion because it combos with Wound Reflection. Returned another card or two from an earlier build of this deck. The overall purpose is so it can play more aggressively again, returning some midrange power whilst also setting up more instant kill combos.
(lore update coming soon)
Thank you for the feedback and suggestions! : )
Unlike most EDH decks my commander isn't what it's built around. The deck is meant to adapt to threats using tutors. If there aren't any threats then i can just tutor for sorin and set enemy at 10 and then clean up. The deck's focus is around strong combos and fatties, i would like to avoid filling the deck with large amounts of equipment solely for my commander, but basilisk collar is definitely a good suggestion; it both allows me to steal more life via lifelink with my fatties, and it gives mirri the ability to kill any blocker without first or double strike and escape unscathed, and get +1/+1 and for a VERY low price.
In regards to the eldrazi you suggested, i don't really feel they're worth putting in the sideboard, i don't really need spawn tokens once all my other eldrazi hit the field, I like keeping Darksteel garrison and forge because in theory they can protect my eon hub and glacial chasm combo from the majority of removal.
Anyway thanks for the feedback, if nothing else I'll definately add Bassalisk collar!

I dropped Basilisk collar in favor of Quietus spike as most of my creatures have evasion so the benefit is far more from its effect. It is especially diabolical for Mirri and wouldn't often get attached any later than collar would with how my deck usually plays.

Good deck. I'm glad that my deck helped creating yours. In your variant I would exclude AEther Snap . It is only good with 1 card in your deck and since you have a commander that doesn't benefit from AEther Snap like mine does the 5 mana won't be worth it.
I would include Magus of the Coffers instead as another mana accelerator.
Another thing I would suggest is Howl from Beyond to utilize your mana into a commander suprise kill.
I hope this helped. Greets MA.

Fleshbag Marauder + Sheoldred, Whispering One . It's a fun little synergy, but it attracts a lot of hate.

Hand of Emrakul Skittering Invasion Ulamog's Crusher for the sideboard rather than Darksteel Garrison and Darksteel Forge .
It also seems like you run a few overpriced tutors in here, where you'd probably be better off with just adding a few solid cards to replace them. You might ramp at a decent pace, but spending anything over 3 mana to find a card is usually a bad thing. Just a thought.
Since your general can be quite the voltron, why isn't there more pump in the deck for it?
Basilisk Collar Blade of the Bloodchief Champion's Helm Grafted Exoskeleton Grafted Wargear Inquisitor's Flail Loxodon Warhammer O-Naginata Strata Scythe Umezawa's Jitte and the obvious swords, which you already have one of.
