Fall of the Titans i have tested it maaaaany times....much better is Arc Lightning because for 3 mana FoTT do 1 dmg to two targets (even with surge....one mana creature, 2 mana FotT=1 dmg => total mana 3) AL do 1 dmg to three targets

That's only when u cast it for 2 which the 1 mana used on a pump spell or creature doesn't count toward Fo/tT anyway b.c you get to cast 2 spells with the same mana. When u surge it and spend 3 mana it deals 2 damage to up to 2 target creatures and or players. It only hits two targets but it's a stronger removal b.c it's capable of removing 2 creatures at 2 toughness. The amount of damage output is always higher for the cost than AL if it is surged. U usually won't see 3 creatures with 1 toughness that need removed with an arc lightning and if u target 2 it's less damage. Fo/tT can also remove something with more than 3 toughness if u have the mana. In this case it's a rare b.c it has more potential/ power but it's a better card in the right deck and this one qualifies b.c of all the 1 drops.

Metamorphic right now the meta is x/3 meaning you need to be able to kill a 3 toughness at any time. Arc Lightning can go wide, to the face or kill a x/3 on turn 3 if needed. For Fall of the Titans to kill an x/3 you need a minimum of 5 mana to surge off a 1 cmc then cast for x=3. Fall of the Titans does not belong in a deck with 20 mana. Nor in the current meta.

People were trying to get me to use Fall of the Titans in one of my decks and it just did not work well at all.

For my purposes Crater's Claws was better (not for this deck, though).

Arc Lightning is absolutely the right call here.

Crater's Claw is hilarious....but not in goblins (ramp with though guys? or any with though guy)

I built it and played in FNM i got 3-1 i lost to a four color rally

theleoslion well I'll be finding out as I'm taking this to GP Houston next weekend. But in the past 5 events at my store im 16-2 in rounds, and 4-0 at Gameday.. So it seems winnable.

theleoslion if you Side in Cranial Archive you could stop that Rally in its tracks.

They can't return cards to the field when their 'yard is empty.

Or you could use Burn Away but the cranial archive is good as well. Burn away is too expensive and rally decks can take off by turn 5. If only they added delve with that card it would be so broken.

Halospades Burnaway won't work. Rally decks will just sac in response making it fizzle so the graveyard doesnt get exiled.

That's another reason that card won't work. Cranial archive is the better option as a side board.

its been tried the card just isn't good enough when you need to exile it and your opponent will just start over the process

Virulent Plague is used so often against us :(

so that's why we need Outpost Siege (dragons mode) :)

@halospades went 4-4 drop. Peaked at 4-2. Deck played well honestly.

Lost to G/R Ramp, guy hit Kozilek's Return in back to back games.

Lost to Mardu Green TWICE. This is just a bad match up to be quite honest. Kolaghan's Command is always a 2 for 1 and Goblin Dark-Dwellers just adds to that.

Lost to Atarka Red, he won the dice roll, took it 2-1. If I won the dice roll would have won 2-1. Whoever wins the roll wins this one.For 30$ i can't complain. I won a couple side events day 2. Was a fun trip overall.

Hey thought you might want to know I took your deck to go Houston as well with a couple sb changes. Finished 10-5 was 7-2 on day 1. Lost two rally and mono-u eldrazi the blue eldrazi loss was the last round of day 1 in a close game 3. Peaked at 8-2

I kept the main exactly the same, was skeptical about arc lightning but it performed well. My sb was 3x magmatic chasm 2x subterranean scout 1x act of treason 2x battle rage2x outpost siege 3x roast 2x boiling earth

I have since cut the scouts and sieges because I didn't really like them and put in 2x Impact tremors and 2x break through the line
