Looking through the new SOI cards, and I noticed a card that would work well into a deck I already was brewing. Now, I am relatively new to MTG, and someone may have made a deck like this in the past, but I'm proud to say this is my invention, and I think it might play well. I'm posting this to hear what you all think. I think the idea is good, but it could use some refining.

The deck is built around low cost high toughness defenders and other defensive units, but with several synergies to make them more valuable. The Yoked Ox is a great example. As a 0/4 one drop, he is not much, but with the synergy in this deck becomes very potent. The other defenders include Jaddi Offshoot, Dragon's Eye Sentry, Fortified Rampart, Wall of Resurgence, Makindi Aeronaut.

Assault Formation is the primary combo card. On turn 2, this can make that Yoked Ox into a 4/4. The Aeronauts become flying 3/3's. Fortified Rampart is a 6/6 for 2 mana. For 3 mana, all the units can get an anthem. On game 2 and 3, the opponent might sideboard anti-enchantments, which is why I include Auramancer in my sideboard, to preemptively react.

The SOI card I am most excited about is the Behind the Scenes. It is unlikely the opponent will have 0 power units. This makes my 0 power guys unblockable. This card is not meant early, but if you have board presence, casting this card can effectively make all of your 4/4 and 6/6 units unstoppable, FTW.

Ayli has good synergy here. If you get to 30 health, which is not too difficult with her first sac ability, then she can exile that pesky permanent that needs to go away.

The Felidar Sovereign adds another win condition. If he is on the board with enough defenders and an Ayli, the opponent will NEED to do something before his end of turn or he will lose, period.

I feel the biggest weakness of the deck is the draw. This deck is full of low mana creatures and would like to be playing 2 or more creatures per turn. Ayli needs champs to sac. CoCo could be an option, but most of the creatures are 1 and 2 mana, making this inefficient. Alhammarret's Archive could empower the draws and the lifegain, but is clunky at 5 mana.

The mana base is a little tricky, as a 3 color SOI deck. I think it is doable, but I am not sure what the best combo will be. Flaying Tendrils suffers from this, with the 2 black requirement, but none of our units are less than 3 toughness; when we cast this, it can exile all of the opponents creatures, for just 3 mana, which is awesome.

The sideboard can definitely see some improvement, probably with some SOI cards I haven't noticed yet.

Nissa, Voice of Zendikar could help this deck, but requires 2 green and is not a budget card.

Disowned Ancestor was great for this deck, but rotates out. Several draw options rotate out as well.

Anyway, what do you think? What do I need to do to make this work better yet?
