Hey, this is my modern deck! At it's core, it's a U/R Delver Deck but there is a bit of combo in there.
The deck circles around what I like to think of a psuedo-combo. The three peices are Kiln Feind, Assault Strobe, and Artful Dodge. All the other peices just support the "combo," but I''ll explain the deck in more detail below:
14 creatures:4x Delver of Secrets
: Self explanitory. This is a Delver deck.
4x Kiln Feind: VALUE + it's part 1 of our combo.
4x Monastery Swiftspear: A good T1 play if we don't have a delver. Instant shennanigans will pump it up on our winning play.
2x Snapcaster Mage: We can bring back anything that didn't resolve.
13 Instants: 2x Dismember: Solid removal for 1 mana.
4x Lightning Bolt: ...
3x Mizzium Skin: It's 1 mana for a what is essentially counter for any removal in modern.
4x Mutagenic Growth: Sometimes considered "Part 4" of the combo, if we can cast this for 2 life, it completes everything.
15 Sorceries:
4x Distortion Strike: Part 2 of our combo. Make Kiln Feind unblockable. It's rebound ability is also a nice addition.
4x Assault Strobe: Part 3 of our combo
3x Grapeshot: More help for a scenario where we can't pull off the combo right away. Since the deck centers around casting instants and sorceries, I figure Storm is and auto include.
4x Serum Visions: Yummeh.
We run 18 lands.
A clarification of the combo: When you have Kiln Feind in play, cast Arful Dodge targeting the Kiln Feind. It becomes a 4/2 that is unblockable. Then cast Assault Stobe targeting it. It becomes a 8/2 that has double strike and is unblockable. If you can cast Mutagenic Growth on it as well, it becomes a 12/2 + the Mutagenic Growth, which makes it a 14/4 unblockable double striker and swing for 28 on T3.
