Fun tribal deck for Multiplayer !

However, I highly doubt of its effectivness in competitive Duel Commander.

Most decks of the format just go faster than you (Animar, Marath, Yisan, Ezuri, etc.) and the slower ones will just put Scion on a leash with counter magic and removal (Narset, Teferi, Tasigur, SidisiB, etc.).

It's a great deck to have fun though ! :)

Hey! May I suggest Moltensteel Dragon? Combos off with Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon by tapping 4 for scions ability twice to stack Moltensteel and skittles to lose 12 life and make Skittles a 10/4 with infect. Or Dragon Tyrant a 11/6 double strike for 22 commander. Basically if you have 4 open mana and they have no blockers you can win.

Also Rite of Replication + Scourge of Valkas = 180 damage. GG

Thanks guys, I don't play top tier competitive duel commander, so I'm not too concerned with how well it does in that environment. I do play 1v1 against a tuned Ezuri deck now and then and typically win about 50% though. I'm not a big fan of infinite combo, or two card combos that instantly kill the whole table like Rite of Replication + Scourge of Valkas. If I want to one shot a player, Nicol Bolas typically makes them as good as dead, or Dragon Tyrant + Berserk is a one shot kill. In the goodstuff but not quite top tier meta that I play in, the ability to go off and win (without relying on simple two card combos) is favored. That's why I've included the Conflux + Dream Halls combo - it's non infinite (I only run one way to recur Conflux ) and it's not a guaranteed win but it's fun!

Have you considered Aphetto Dredging?

Dragon Tempest could prove useful, esp if you can Ult Sarkhan. Speaking of walkers, Call the Gatewatch could be fun to find Sarkhan with earlier.
