Tempo - Control deck with a Combo finish
Vs. Aggro/Burn , lean into Control/Tempo plan
Vs. Midrange/Control , lean into Tempo/Control plan
Vs. Big Mana, Combo Decks, Tribal , lean into Control/Combo plan
Blood Moon and Crackling Drake are your strongest proactive Sideboard plans. Bring Moon in against multicolored nonbasic decks, bring Drake in against any deck you don't mind tapping out against.
The rest of the sideboard is interaction tailored to help in a variety of matchups. Engineered Explosive's for Boggles, Anger of the Gods for Dredge and Tribal, Abrade for creature decks/Chalice decks, Force of Negation for Combo/Control/Tron, etc.
This deck has many angles of attack. It rewards playing it a lot and getting comfortable with many different matchups. Take your time sideboarding and really think through your gameplan for the postboard games.
As soon as Counterspell gets printed into Modern, it will replace all 3 copies of Mana Leak. I've considered putting a third Moon in the board, not sure what to cut.
