I love casting Stone Rain and all its variants. Sundering Titan is one of the better versions of Stone Rain.

Manabase is stupidly and badly experimental. I got the idea from Tiemuuu's UR Control ft. Boil, back when Mystic Sanctuary was legal. You pack the minimum number of the offending basic type lands so "symmetrical" effects work better for you even though you're in their color. Sundering Titan wants you to have as few types as possible, Blood moon wants you to have basics for your non-red colors, so by staying in UR with 10ish Islands and 2 Mountains, I can get away with Blood Moon on T2-3 and not screw myself plus if I cheat out Titan before landing Moon, there's a good chance my only typed land is Island. While BLood moon is out, if titan resolves I kill all my opponents basics and I can always choose their Mountains over my own. If the 2 drops stop cantripping, this list needs more lands. Like I said, stupid.

"Why not add X color for Y card" - I'm really trying to keep it UR so I can play Blood Moon and Sundering Titan. They're both useful tools for attacking mana, and a deck can fight through one or the other, but never both. Except Burn.

Tale's End beats Defabricate in the flex counter spot because it answers Wrenn.

You don't need to side out Sundering Titan combo against artifact hate because you can cast it late with treasures + chandra and it doesn't mind leaving the battlefield.

Probably drop the Sundering Titan combo against heavy GY decks and bring in Spyros + Relics + relevant countermagic. Just play fair Rag-gro.

I haven't tested Portal to Phyrexia/Statue of God-Pharoah, but I doubt I want either of these cards over Titan in the current config.

I consider the spell core of the deck to be playsets of Ragavan, Fable, Fire/Ice, Blood Moon, Shape Anew, 2x Sundering Titan, everything else is in flux. But the only reason to not play Fury in a majority Red list is because you don't own them.
