Hi,

Looks pretty cool :) I've solved the mana issue by also adding Prismatic Omen, Exploration and some mana dorks to my Ur-deck (still needs to be posted). Might I also recommend Scourge of the Throne (which I believe is more efficient than Hellkite Charger) and Balefire Dragon (one hell of a creature wiper, if your damage connects to a player).

I love Dragon Arch btw, I forgot I had one. Will need to incorporate it in my own deck :) Speaking of which, could you maybe have a look at my Mayael deck and tell me what you think. It's not a tribal dragon deck, but it too revolves all around cheating stuff into play whenever possible. Thanks.

Happy gaming!

Hey NV_1980,

These are some great suggestions, I'll definitely include them. Thanks for taking a look and making those recs, much appreciated!

My suggestion is do these three things:

1.) I'd take out Blooming Marsh, Cascading Cataracts, Crucible of the Spirit Dragon, Inventors' Fair, Spire of Industry. There are better options that aren't an arm and leg. Some suggestions are the wedge and shards lands:

2.) Add at least 2 more lands (I personally run 38 lands) to help fix the lack of land draw.

3.) Additionally, I'd focus on 2 to 3 specific colors to help with the lack of efficient mana fixing in the deck.

After that, I'd test that out and see how the deck works then.

snotice the precon came with those lands, but I wanted to avoid tap lands since it slows me down significantly. I know avoiding the slow down in a budget deck is not very likely either. I will try the deck with your suggestions and see how it works. Thank you for your input.

FancyLadies: the tapped trilands do slow you down. There are other options:

1.) The five tango (have) lands.

2.) The enemy and ally check lands like Dragonskull Summit.

3.) Additionally, the pain lands are cheap as well.

The hardest part of building this deck is focusing on those three color. My deck personally went Temur (Red, green, blue) with splashing black and white. After that, its what you are willing to invest in your landbase.

Removal and control are also important

odolcino says... #6

too many artifacts and enchantments, not enough removal, and you need more removal at instant speed likeUtter End, and better artifact and enchantment removal like Wear / Tear, or Vandalblast, Ancient Grudge isn't the best artifact removal in all 5 colors.

snotice: I've taken your advice on focusing on 3 colors. Mine seem to be , splashing . It has made my life much simpler! Thanks again for the help!

Hi, I am playing a 5C Scion deck and if you want to play 5C. Land and mana base if everything. But when you focus on 3 and splash 2 it helps a lot. Some lands that can be very useful.

Crosis's Catacombs

Darigaaz's Caldera

Dromar's Cavern

Rith's Grove

Treva's Ruins

Cheap to buy, do not come into play tapped and you can tap a land before returning it to your hand. Also, yes pain lands are a good cheap option too.

As for changes to other cards I advice replacing Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius by Balefire Dragon

replace Ojutai, Soul of Winter by Hellkite Tyrant

replace Prismatic Geoscope by Jeweled Amulet

And I might consider replacing either Asceticism or Crucible of Fire by Lurking Predators or Hunting Grounds

Also if you are interested my deck is called who says 5 is too much? seems a little slow but it has proven very consistent in multiplayers and team events. At our communities and among my friends this is my deck they fear most.

hope it helps

Hey PB80, thanks for checking out my deck and thanks for the suggestions. I definitely made some changes. Although I love Hellkite Tyrant for this deck, I just think it's way too mean for the group I play with, especially since I'm running Scourge of the Throne; they're not gonna know what hit em! But you know, when push comes to shove I'm definitely throwing the Tyrant in there!

Burgeoning and Exploration are kind of a waste for your deck since you aren’t running enough lands in the first place. They should probably be cut for lands or better mana rocks. Obviously if you have Mana Crypt, Mana Vault, and Grim Monolith you should add them. The speed they provide is insane, especially in a deck as expensive mana wise as yours is.

Also +1 for daaaaargons DARRGONS!

SynergyBuild thanks for the love! Dragon's Hoard is definitely going in there, I just pulled one last night!

Oh wow! Good job on pulling that!

Seems a little light on early-game cards, even with Belbe's Portal and Dragon Arch. Might I suggest such cards as Slumbering Dragon or Dragon Hatchling to somewhat help with agro decks?

August 19, 2018 2:56 p.m.

Sorin_Markov_1947 great suggestions. I’ll have to find room for them. Slumbering Dragon seems like a pretty good deterrent. Thanks for the comment.

Not a big fan of dragon decks simply because of how easy it is to make them strong, but nonetheless nice deck +1

P.S. Really like the Slumbering Dragon that was suggested, the fact that the counters trigger for each creature really make him a good deterrant, if somebody attacks you with 5 creatures right after you play him he wakes up and nobody wants to be vs a 8/8 flyer xD

August 20, 2018 8:15 p.m.

SynergyBuild says... #21

Many people forget that Slumbering Dragon still gets counters after five, and that leads them to missed value, I have personally seen a time when it was an 8/8 but the owner could have had it be a one mana 26/26 and growing.

Awesome deck, good job.

August 24, 2018 9:49 p.m.

I always find it odd to see a Hart and no Solemn and vice-versa. I'm also surprised to see so little Sarkhan. Looks good, though, I must say.

September 7, 2018 7:14 p.m.

Vlasiax thanks for commenting. Kindred Discovery is a great card, but the only reason I have Palace Siege in there is because my playgroup targets my dragons every single time one hits the battlefield. So with that out, I just fish them back. But I will go ahead and switch out Intet. There’s far more value in Dragonlord Ojutai.

November 19, 2018 3:59 p.m.

Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma looks like a great coupon for my guys! Thanks for the suggestion. Steely Resolve also seems good. I’ll consider both and make room. Thank you Vlasiax
