Blue/Red Wizard Tribal Deck - Trying to create a large number of Wizard tokens with low cost spells and buffing them with Metallic Mimic and Final Iteration   .

Creatures

Metallic Mimic and Docent of Perfection   are the two main creatures in this deck. Making Metallic Mimic also a wizard when it enters the battlefield, buffing my other 12 wizards with +1/+1 counters as they enter the battlefield. I plan to combo that with flipping Docent of Perfection   rather quickly with Wizards on the field and cheap spells to create 1/1 Wizard tokens, then boosting my wizards with with an additional +2/+1 and flying from Final Iteration   .

Having both Metallic Mimic + Final Iteration   = a 4/3 Wizard token with flying every time I cast an instant or a sorcery. Total of 20 instants and sorceries in the main deck.

Baral, Chief of Compliance, decreases the cost of many of my spells -> Fall of the Titans , Incendiary Flow , Negate, Fiery Temper and Void Shatter . Baral also offers a nice combo where either using Negate or Void Shatter to counter will only cost 1 or 2 Islands respectively and when I discard I can cast a Fiery Temper for the Madness cost of 1 Mountain. If I don't get the chance to counter, then I can still hard cast Fiery Temper for only 2 mountains.

Jori En, Ruin Diver for extra card draw, mana cost for spells in this deck is low on purpose to be able to cast multiple spells per turn with ease.

Spells

With Baral, Chief of Compliance Spells get reduced by one so most spells become either 1 or 2 drops maximum, expect for Fall of the Titans .

Galvanic Bombardment - Great 1 drop burn spell, increases in damage as you cast them to keep up with larger creatures.

Shock - Also useful for low toughness creatures or even for direct damage if a 2nd spell needs to be cast.

Fiery Temper - Slightly more powerful than Shock, also combos with Baral's discard effect or simple cost reduction if hard cast.

Incendiary Flow or Burn from Within - Great for keeping stronger creatures out in exile where they can't get brought back.

Negate - A cheap counterspell for everything but creatures, and plenty of burn spells to remove creatures.

Void Shatter - Exiles any spell and great for countering good creature spells, most likely going to focus on keeping the mana up to counter larger creature spells.

Fall of the Titans - Great card to either take out multiple creatures or a creature and direct damage to the player. Surge mechanic and Baral's instant/sorcery cost reduction allows this as my second spell on a turn for either more tokens or card draw at a far reduced cost, removing both an and a mana cost from the card.

I appreciate you taking a look, any suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

Took Docent and his Wizard buddies to FNM this past Friday and WENT!...1-2...

Bit of a bummer but the deck did perform fairly well, considering 2 of my opponents ended up going 3-0 when all was said and done, just a night of playing against some good decks and wasn't able to pull out the W's.

1st Match -> 2-0 against RW Dwarves

Played against my good friend Xazrael and his "Little People" Dwarf Tribal Deck, check it out if you get a chance. Was able to play strong against some good aggro and the combo of Solemn Recruit + Aethergeode Miner. Harnessed Lightning with some extra energy was perfect for taking out vehicles like the Aethersphere Harvester and once Docent of Perfection  Flip was out and flipped it was game as he had no removal for my fliers.

2nd Match -> 1-2 against BW...Every good black creature

Got out muscled by Westvale Abbey  Flip, Gonti, Lord of Luxury, Noxious Gearhulk, Peacekeeper Colossus, Consulate Dreadnought and a whole mess of Servos. The 2nd game I won because of my sideboard (and getting lucky), brought in 3 copies of Fevered Visions, 3x Burn from Within and 2x Aether Meltdown. I got lucky because I was able to draw all 3 copies of the Visions and they did nearly all of 19 damage before I top decked a Burn from Within to deal the last damage to win. The other two matches I just got beat down eventually but for the most part I had answers for most of his creatures.

3rd Match -> 0-2 against RG Energy

Basically got destroyed by Bristling Hydra and poor draws, the hexproof on the hydra keep them alive in both matches and had no answers for them. Game 1 I had him down to 4 with 3x Stormchaser Mage out and swinging. I forgot to keep 1 as a blocker just in case and in 1 combat he swung for 20 with 1 hydra. 2nd game two hydras swung and finished me off before I could get any answers or creatures out.

Overall the deck seemed to do well for a variety of decks and situations but I just got out played against some good decks. I edited the deck list to what I'm going to run for the next FNM, the only difference from this Friday was I'm going to add in 2 Collective Defiance instead of the 2 Aether Meltdown as the meltdowns are enchantments which offer no benefit from Baral. I also decided to go with the energy sub-theme in the deck instead of madness and it seemed to work very well. Also Docent appears to basically be a sure-fire finisher and the rest of my deck appears to have great synergy and I think with a little more practice and fine tuning I'll be getting a few more W's.

Thanks for everyone who commented and offered suggestions!
