lil_cheez that has been mentioned in the past and as I said to those people, Primal Surge is the definition of easy mode and is a waste of a slot in what is otherwise a very fun deck to play. I'll make a note in the description that it has been deliberately excluded.

EternalBrewmaster Got it. I agree, it's an unfun card. But strong, anyway

No doubt lil_cheez, but if I had it then this deck wouldn't be all permanents would it? And playing Primal Surge just makes all the hard work of doing all the combos kind of moot. A better explanation even is that if I cast the Surge, then I wouldn't get all the cast triggers for Sigil of the Empty Throne to make angels and I would be committed to win somehow that turn because I would have nothing left in my library so I would lose on my next draw step and wouldn't be able to cast any more enchantments from my hand because all my enchantress effects would be in play.

- Hello Sensei !
- I play Uril for 1 year now and i like your deck, i had karametra and never used it but thanks to you i realize how good it is with Emeria Sheperd and so i took off karmic guide for Emeria Sheperd !
- I see in comments that you already talk about Primal Surge and reasons why you don't want to play it.
- But if you change your mind there are some replacements what do you think ?
- take off :
- Seal of primordius ( i think aura shard and aura of silence is enough since you have Stony silence too)
- emblem of Warmind
- 1x forest
- Iroas (seems kinda funny card but Menace is not the strongest evasion and it protects your creatures only during your combat phase so..)
- Add :
- Primal Surge : i knooow you don't want it buuut cmooooon)
- Boseiju : no counterspell on primal surge and you can tutor it with knight of Reliquary
- Starfield of Nyx : Recursion and turn all your non-aura enchantements into overwhelming creatures with primal surge
- I think you don't need triggers from Sigil to actually blow your opponent and you can choose to stop the primal surge before your deck is empty (watch out for Eidolon of blossoms trigger )
- You don't have any way to tutor Primal Surge so in my opinion its fair :)
- Thanks to share your decklist !

And so you can name this deck "Enchantress Oops almost all permanents !
I hope you are not pissed off by another tread of primal surge ;(
I'm done with it.
Now about Sigarda Aid i think you need Seedborn muse so you will be able to cycle your deck even if you don't draw your mana's combos and i would take off Iroas for it.
You have already so much card draw with your enchantress but have you try Femeref Enchantress ? It works great with Auratog and Auratog himself + Sigill + Rancor is nice synergy.

I'm glad you like the deck and thanks for the suggestions! I like the way it plays now and I like having redundant forms of spot removal in different colors, thus the Seal of Primordium. Many of the card choices in this deck, including the lands, and even every Forest and Plains was chosen because I'm playing one of each of my favorite arts of those lands. This deck is an art project as much as it is just a magic deck. I don't play Starfield of Nyx because it makes Karmic Justice worthless, and it makes my other enchantments too vulnerable to removal. Good luck with you Uril deck, and go ahead and share my deck with all your friends!

If you run so many land-based effects (Knight of the Reliquary, Azusa, Lost but Seeking, Lotus Cobra, etc), why do you only run 35 lands? Like I've said before, I love the deck, just confused about that one thing.

nomoreeightbit because with a sufficiently high amount of card draw/selection like this deck has, I have very little trouble getting them all out as I need them. I can't imagine why I'd want more lands if I'm already able to steadily get them into play until the god turn where I play the whole deck. Then all the leftover lands are just in my hand doing nothing.

Concordant Crossroads would be useful for when you decide to play your whole deck in one turn, and then win :)

Emblem of the Warmind already fills that role and is a better fit with the deck overall.

Yeah like Lilbrudder said, Emblem takes care of that. Also there's no foil crossroads and it gives your opponents' creatures haste which is baaaaad. Play Mass Hysteria over it for the foil goodness unless you're already playing emblem. Thanks for the look at both of my decks! Hope you liked this one too.

My only question is on one of your combos: Karametra's trigger is based on casting a creature, correct? I'm not entirely sure but I think Defense of the Heart is: "search & put creature into play" I don't think it is: "cast for free" so I believe Karametra's "cast creature spell" prerequisite is not being met in that combo...
I've been wrong before but if I am I've been cheated out of an awful lot of combos, might be something to take an extra look at.

Thanks for the upvote and the comment Gleeock! I'm sorry that you're confused by the Karametra + Emeria Angel combo. Maybe read it again and see if it passes the smell test. You're absolutely correct that the creatures are not cast as part of Defense of the Hearts trigger. That has nothing to do with the combo. The combo is just getting them both out and then casting literally any other creature.

Yeah I looked harder at the combo now, & it reads; every turn you cast a creature. So the combo is to cast a critter from your hand & start freecasting DoTH from the graveyard... Makes sense.
I'm a huge Emeria Shepherd fan so you'll get no argument from me. Actually all the landfall angels are a blast with Karametra

Yeah I totally agree. Admonition Angel was in this deck for five years until emeria shepherd came out. It was an easy replacement to make since I had quarantine field which was an even better replacement for admo angel.

Hello sir,
Sweet list!
You might want to consider Mesa Enchantress and Words of War. The additional enchantress effect improves your carddraw and the words add some spot removal, aswell as another win condition.
I personally like Femeref Enchantress. It adds up well with the triad Rancor, Brilliant Halo and Undying Rage. Just add some Auratog or Thaumatog to spice things up :) besides your Auramancer you could even play Monk Idealist.
This gameplan could be supplemented by Endless Wurm, Faith Healer and a Crystal Chimes.
Maybe I was able to give you some new ideas, if you want to try something new :)
Best regards, Friedrich

Thanks for taking a look and offering suggestions! Words of War is kind of cool because I can stop my self from drawing out my deck with it. I need to update this list with my most recent changes. Cheers!

Have you considered a Champion of Lambholt, possibly in place of Iroas, God of Victory? The Champion would trigger off of all those angels from your Sigil of the Empty Throne, making your creatures nigh unstoppable! (laughs maniacally, then coughs in embarrassment) Just a thought...Amazing deck, btw!! +1 for sure.

Truly a thing of beauty! And yes, even as demonstrated less capable decks, Uril can certainly get BIG!
