A relatively famous big angry fluffy mountain guy that hits things harder than most people tend to enjoy, all with hexproof on top.

OVERVIEW

Gameplan is very simple. Just take EVERYTHING YOU CAN, AND JUST VOMIT IT ALL ONTO URIL. MAKE HIM BIG, BEAT FACE.

Ancestral Mask

Probably the biggest buff card in the deck since it counts opponents' enchantments too.

Armadillo Cloak

Show

Gives trample and lifelin- AH, GOTCHA, NO IT DOESN'T. It gives trample, and ALMOST lifelink, but it's not. Key point being, this stacks with normal lifelink, so you can get some crazy lifegain going.

Duelist's Heritage

Sure, there's probably auras that do this too, but why NOT use this? You miss out on the stat boost uril gets, but I'd say double strike is worth it. I find the REAL value here though, is being able to use this on opponent's creatures when they attack your opponents. You can make friends, or just really screw up someone's board by giving something big and bad some double-slap, at NO harm to your own wellbeing.

Runes of the Deus

Probably the single most effective card in the deck at doing what you want to do. Gives Uril +4/+4, AND double strike, AND trample. If you JUST equip this you can smack someone or something for 18 damage with absolutely no problems.

Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar

Show

Play this right after you convince an opponent to not boardwipe, because you can deal with that other opponent, and you will absolutely not deal ANY combat damage to them. True story.

But yeah I mean it's a pretty efficient card, what can I say, it's like 3x the Uril.

Assault Suit

Now this is hilarious. Don't use it until Uril is already pretty big, but if Uril IS already an enormous threat... why not effectively get another turn every turn. You may lose a bit of input on where he gets sent, but he's mostly safe, can't be sacrificed, will be dishing out WAY more damage, and the best thing is that it's even a "may" ability, so if it gets back to a 1v1, you don't have to give away Uril.

This has some downsides of course, like if you have any effect giving him lifelink then you'll be healing your opponents for large amounts which is a little counterintuitive, and if your opponents have any other big creatures, maybe you don't want to send Uril away to NOT block them, but if the conditions are fine, send the lad on a trip, he could use it.

Robe of Stars

Uril decks always focus on auras, for obvious reasons, but I feel like sometimes there are equipment that are just too good to pass up. This is one of them. It's basically equipment Flickerform, and has saved my ass SO many times. Firstly, the activation ability is way cheaper, making it easier to keep around as a panic button.

Now, it's not ALL upsides, as this causes Uril and everything attached to him to phase out, rather than... well, flicker. Basically meaning, the things don't return until your next upkeep, leaving you quite wide open. BUT, it's not all bad, as that means as soon as someone tries to boardwipe, you dodge it, and nobody else will try that for the rotation, so you're good. Just be mindful of being open, and absolutely getting your face beaten in since the opportunity has now arisen.
