Here's a description of how the deck is set up so I can utilize any color really, not just the Red/Green Big Burn combo I have listed:
Since this deck uses the Urza Land Trio of Tower, Mine, and Powerplant to get 7 colorless mana from 3 lands, there are a bunch of cards that help us find each land we need to net that benefit.
Sylvan Scrying
: Let's us search our Library for any of the Urza lands you may need.
Ancient Stirrings
: Since the Urza lands are colorless, they would count as a colorless card here.
Expedition Map: A slower
Sylvan Scrying
Since we're colorless, access to not just another color but any color is awesome. Since I use a couple green Sorcery cards, I throw in a basic Forest just for access in search if necessary. (Listed is a version of the Urza Trio that burns the opponent, so there's also a basic Mountain in there listed too, as well as Stomping Ground and
Rugged Highlands
.)
Chromatic Star: Draw power and access to colored mana
Opaline Unicorn
: 1/2 blocker who you will probably just use for access to any color mana.
Unknown Shores
:Basically converts a colorless into a color, or can be tapped for colorless.
To round out my creature lineup beyond the
Opaline Unicorn
mentioned above,
Palladium Myr
: 2/2 that can also be tapped for 2C, fits in with mana and colorless
Wurmcoil Engine: Really any card thats around 6 or 7 mana in cost and good works, this one is colorless and also splits into more monsters, so I count that towards protection as well. 3 because I only have 3.
Ugin, the Spirit Dragon
is the Planeswalker I use because I have 2, but also because it's colorless and can be live most of the time with the Urza trio out. Plus, with the build listed (Big Burn), the +2 Burn for 3 fits.
As for the rest of the skeleton I guess you'd say, Oblivion Stone I have 3, and it's a great board wipe. Can get rid of any set up your opponent has done while you get your Urza lands.
Burn Cards I used are:Lightning Bolt Since Urza Lands are Legacy, this is a no brainer for a burn deck.Since we have a ton of colorless mana, any burn card with X for damage works awesomely. I chose Comet Storm for utility in it's Kicker ability to target multiple creatures or players. Banefire is the MVP for the burn cards in that its damage is unavoidable if X is greater than 5. I also mentioned
Ugin, the Spirit Dragon
's +2 for 3 damage burn ability above. I tend to try whittle down my opponent's life then pop them with Banefire for game using the Urza Trio to fuel that X.
