WisdomComesIt is a good package with trinket mage i think, and other tutors could have better target to go for most of times, and null rod effect is another thing to consider.

procy I'm saying you can sac the artifact land to tutor when you don't have other artifacts, you don't search for seat of synod with a tutor obviously. Also urza turns it back on through null rod so it seems like a bad exclusion in my opinion, they would need null rod and cursed totem to turn it off with urza in play. Also it gives a thopter when sai is in play and helps to turn on mox opal

Edit: Does not give thopter from sai, still seems good for the other reasons mentioned.

Reason to not include basalt monolith as a relevant piece with power artifact?

Any plans to update primer post-Pengine? It's not too hard to skip over the PE lines & I know you guys have jobs & lives & stuff. Just love this deck & this primer so much, curious if it's getting an update or maybe the post-Pengine primer is somewhere else? Thx!

I must say, paradoxical outcome is practically a must for this deck. I think recurring insight is too expensive for what it does, especially for being a sorcery. Outcome, in my opinion, may be the next best thing to paradox engine.

I also feel relic barrier is worth a look.

I was also not a fan of Recurring Insight as I preferred Blue Sun's Zenith or Pull from Tomorrow for the card draw but then I played the deck with it and never looked back. There is a reason why it is in this deck. Try it out first.

Dafufu, thanks for the reply. It might be my meta, but I have a bit of a reputation, mostly because I used to win 70 to 80 percent of games. I tend to be the first player targeted. So, yeah, 6 mana for recurring insight, vs 4 mana for outcome is a big deal, and it's an instant to boot. I play time spiral and future sight already, and it's near impossible getting one of those to land, so I guess thats why I'm weary. I am aware of Urza's ability, but it's too random to justify insight. For me anyway.

IAMtheBW - I'm not sure if anyone told you yet, but you can't pay into X when casting for free from exile...

sTakkato says... #14

cpb0213 You can always cast Blue Sun's Zenith for x=0 through Urza when you have no cards in the library. Then use Sensei's Divining Top to draw USZ, cast it for x=100 and repeat to win the game.

Why the guilded drake? For what use?

August 9, 2019 7:17 p.m.

Gilded Drake is a great piece of disruption, especially against decks who really rely on their commanders or a specific creature to pop off. For two mana it's a steal and with basically no downside since a 3/3 isnt too much of a threat.

Why Run fetch lands in a monocolored deck?

August 26, 2019 3:24 a.m.

Klancik says... #21

Bitchboideckbuilder deck thinning is key since hitting a land off of Urza's minds desire ability is a huge upset

August 26, 2019 12:07 p.m.

Pommesmitsenf says... #22

LordKunai What do you want to grab with Tolaria West ? Getting a 0-mana mana rock seems pointless and showing every one that you tutored Pact of Negation isn't great either.

Bitchboideckbuilder Also, Sensei's Divining Top and Brainstorm synergize nicely with fetches.

LordKunai says... #23

Pommesmitsenf I don't think tutoring for a 0 cost mana rock is pointless. But, if you say so.

August 29, 2019 12:30 a.m.

Klancik says... #24

Thoughts on Sudden Substitution ? You can potentially kill with your own Pact of Negation not to mention the versatility of the spell itself.

PommesmitsenfMaybe you forgot a cmc0 artifact card called Walking Ballista

Infinite mana+ballista=victory, that's why we need Tolaria West
