Ah, thanks for the suggestion! I'll definitely switch.

@m12fox: Peak Karn is why! Haha. He's been over $30 each. I'll have to find room for him if I do pick up a playset. Right now, the primary wincon here is a Mindslaver + Academy Ruins lockdown.

@m12fox: Unlike RG tron, this deck isn't looking to slam a turn 3 karn to clear the board. It'll counter and bounce until the fat lady (emrakul) sings, or else mindslaver pulls the opponent offstage with a shepherd's crook.

All you need now is Kozilek, Butcher of Truth and Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre

Mono U tron is definatly the cheapest version right now but karn really isn't played in mono u tron because you don't have the tutor power to jam him on turn three like you can in rg tron. Its not too needed

So I put together R/G tron list and aside from the costs of the Karen's and such why did you pick this list over the red and green one? I'm trying to decide which type of tron I want to bring to the gp in Detroit and I'm a huge control player and so I'm on the fence about blue/X or Red green. I really like the red for the pyroclasms that it gives me for the early game and I really like ancient stirrings, what do you think about a blue green liste?

@gromly42 see here on MTG Salvation. All questions can be brought up/answered there much more easily than here.

Thanks for supplying that link, alpinefroggy. That discussion will help people wanting to know more of the basics behind monoblue Tron.
@gromly42: Monoblue Tron is definitely the most affordable, and it's been a lot of fun, but it's a specific playstyle you'll have to like before jumping on board. RG Tron can be pretty explosive, but with monoblue Tron, you just sit back and make sure nothing ever hits the board until I get Tron and achieve a Mindslaver lockdown.

@ResurrectedSage: I used to not have any Eldrazi in this deck. Doesn't really need them. The reason behind having only Emrakul in my MB instead of not at all or SB is because of my meta. Lots of Death and Taxes, hate bears, anything that involves Stony Silence, artifact and land hate, or tax related effects like Thalia. Emrakul is all I would need as a backup wincon, while Ulamog and Kozilek would require another turn and can easily get hit with a Path to Exile before I can swing.

Adding to that comment one emrakul is enoug to be played and win the game. Once it hits the board your opponent is 99% dead. No, ifs ands or Path to Exile's

But on a serious note, Batterskull could be sweet, but it could also suck. I honestly don't really know what tron means.

Batterskull is a great card, but Wurmcoil is better due to becoming two separate wurms when it dies. Also, deathtouch is huge. I had someone chump an Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite against my Wurm to avoid getting hit again last night. Really nasty against burn decks.
Also, Pithing Needle is amazing. Moved to MB.

A second Academy Ruins in place of an island would improve consistency

I used to sideboard Academy Ruins at the most, but I've never had a problem getting it out due to the Expedition Map s. The only reason I SB'd it previously was in case of land D. I'll try to mainboard another copy again, due to other people Friday night running another Ruins and dropping it to kill mine.

@Chubbub tron refers to a deck running the Urza lands, or Urzatron as it is informally called. Tron is an artifact central deck.

Suggestion: Switch the Talisman of Progress for Talisman of Dominance, so that if you have to SB in Dismember you could save yourself a little bit of life. Other than that the list looks great. Lots of fun, and cheap too. +1
