Most UW Tron decks run Gifts Ungiven and along with one Unburial Rites and either Iona, Shield of Emeria or Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite (or both). If you don't want to go this way, you could also go by Mystical Teachings , but that would mean either splashing black (not that hard considering you have a few fetchlands) or running some number of Prophetic Prism .

Just some ideas to make it more reliable as a control deck.

I used to run a bit black, Surgical Extraction and Dismember , but I used Talisman of Dominance . Running Gifts with Rites/Norn is definitely my next goal with this list. I've been seeing a lot of Gifts Ungiven , it's an interesting card and would add more depth to the sometimes durdly nature of mono blue Tron.

What I do (although I'm not competitive) is I run 1 Gifts Ungiven for a win condition with an early fattie like Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite or Iona, Shield of Emeria . Then, I run 4 Mystical Teachings to fetch it out at EOT if I need it, but I can also search out ANY instant (allowing a lot of sideboard options like Surgical Extraction along with fetching out a Path to Exile at any time. Plus, flashback!

Again, this is by no means competitive. A competitive list would run 4 Gifts Ungiven and have multiple cards with different names for sideboard nukes.

Sideboard nukes...Pithing Needle is now a cruise missile!
